Goomba
Hey, Something is bothering me, it's the slow down when there's a lot of smoke on your screen. Like when you press W+S it makes your wheels smoke, and then the fps drops or something. It's really anoying, and I hope there is something to fix this problem. Here are my specs just in case, but I don't think it should slow down with my specs. Q6600 @ 3ghz 4GB Ram Ati Radeon HD4850 512mb Please reply if you got a solution for this. Greets. Link to comment
0 Mr.Hankey
GTA simply isn't designed to have so many smoke particle effects rendered at the same time and thus does it very inefficient and causes such a heavy impact on your fps. Link to comment
0 robhol
* stomps on Goomba * (Couldn't resist.) GTA:SA seems to handle smoke rather clumsily - it also slows down a lot with certain kinds of clouds/fog. You may want to check if there are any new drivers for your graphics card, apart from that, I'm not sure. Link to comment
0 Scarface
This is very typical in almost all games. FPS is dropped tremendously when smoke must be rendered by the graphics card. You don't seem to have a 'bad' system, what is your average FPS? (apart from while being in smoke) Link to comment
0 Goomba
I'm not sure but I thought it's around 30-35 but I think that's because of a fps limiter. Link to comment
0 Scarface
Disable the FPS limiter from the SA settings, that will help. Link to comment
