Puma Posted September 15, 2009 Author Share Posted September 15, 2009 New vehicle for Cave Racing: a mini Mesa. It's replacing the Kart and because of the larger distance between the front- and rearwheels, the vehicle steers way better. It turned out pretty cool, I think. Link to comment

I got might a idea how to implent this model into a race. The best vehicle to replace with this one is i think a RC vehicle, cause the Segway it self isn't so fast. Also you need to set the player alpha on 0 so you don't see the real player driving, but that you "see" the model driving. Link to comment
Puma Posted September 20, 2009 Author Share Posted September 20, 2009 That's exactly what I've done. It's replacing the Caddy. I made the playermodel part of the vehicle. The wheels are defined as the "middle" wheels (as on the DFT30 for example). The other wheels don't have a model. Gotta fix the collision and put some reflections on it, so it looks better. I made a resource of it and added a lot of objects (bushes, plants, trees, lanterns etc.). Result: Furthermore, I've been working on a pooltable-map today. The idea was to make a gian pooltable map, with moving balls. The moving balls are working perfectly and you are slammed in your ass all the time, if you don't look out for the balls. Converted it from the original game, so I can't do anything with it except showing off that I got it ingame (Halo > open in programme > export to .obj > import in 3dsMax > export to SketchUp (couldn't get the textures on it in 3dsMax) > get textures from the game and put them on the model > 3dsMax > ingame). I can do it with every Halo map, but because it's Microsoft's model, I can't use it for a mta map. Link to comment

Puma Posted September 30, 2009 Author Share Posted September 30, 2009 Me and some other guys are cooperating on a server right now. The server is online, but has a password on it. When we've finished an amount of maps that we think is quite alright (20 - 30), the server will be open one evening, so people can check it out and preview the whole thing. The name is "Maximum Ketchup". Mark (one of the other guys) works with 3dsMax and 3dsMax is a general programme in gta modding. SketchUp is a programme that I work with. 3dsMax > Maximum, SketchUp > Ketchup. I made some thingies according to the name already. I changed the logo that is displayed when you enter the server, made a new model for the nitro-pickups and more. To do is changing the nitro bottles that appear on the cars for example.
