Madalin2009 Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 So I know how much more of my playerbase I will lose.
0 robhol Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 When it's done. I wouldn't hold my breath, though... from the looks of it it looks like it could be a while.
0 Scarface Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 When it's done. You sound like them sa-mp forum moderators
0 robhol Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Hey, no need to be mean! Seriously, though, what else can I say?
0 Scarface Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 The guy wants an estimate, I'd say end of summer max.
0 robhol Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 There's a lot of stuff to be considered when giving such an estimate, though. Development progress is extremely variable. It can go from being stuck for days, to skipping forward 5% in one day, or even having tons of commits reverted because they didn't work and setting back the roadmap a lot. There are also a lot of things that need to be done. For example, new bugs are still being put on mantis by the dozen, some of them too important to leave out. When fixing one bug, there's almost always a slight chance of causing another. I think that releasing 1.0 without a proper "stress test" aka. official beta test would be sheer idiocy, and that test will almost certainly reveal new bugs too. Third, developer activity hasn't really been that extensive since Jax' changes were mass reverted... (No offense intended to any devs.) I'm honestly not sure what to say (hence my earlier reply) but am currently slightly tempted to say late fall, possibly winter/christmas.
0 Suerte Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 The roadmap is funny. It's been varying between 91-96% recently, but don't trust it. I'd estimate a release in early August?
0 Scarface Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 The roadmap isn't strict, lot's of changes were made that weren't on mantis.
