Nevermore
I am running MTA:SA DP 2.3 server on a Debian Etch VPS. (Installed debian sarge package) The problem is that when i run the server in Hay gamemode, even if it is empty i can see MTA eating 30% of CPU in top. Also, after having it running about 2 or 3 days, i got a half swap memory used... I know that when a server starts swapping, it is not good at all... All the services on vps was 500 ms ping so i had to reboot and close MTA server. Is this normal? Is there any fix? Edit: i discovered that the problem is only wen playing hay... Scarface
If I understood right MTA is not using enough CPU usage on your PC? If so as far as I know its fixed in 1.0. Edited March 1, 2009 by Guest Link to comment
MTA Team jhxp Posted February 28, 2009 MTA Team Share Posted February 28, 2009 Depends on how fast your VPS is. It also matters what resources are you running on it. Link to comment
Nevermore
Men, 30% is not normal even if your pc is a shit. Also it is 30% when server is EMPTY! I have Counter-Strike 1.6 servers with 32 players inside, and they are using only 5%-9% cpu My MTA installation is not working normaly... I need support. Edit: The problem is only when i am running hay gamemode. ¿Any idea on how to fix? Link to comment

Dark Dragon
where's the problem? high cpu usage is nothing you should worry about. it doesn't hurt your pc Link to comment
Nevermore
It lags other servers in the VPS... Link to comment
Lordy
As you already noticed, it happens with hay. Conclusion: Hay is uses much cpu and there is nothing we can do about it/help you. It just DOES use so much cpu and that's it. If you don't like that, don't use hay. Link to comment
