The Savage Killer
Resolve it please. The game is unplayable for me because of all these GTA related crashes under Vista, which only get fixed using compatibility mode, which doesn't work with MTA due to an issue with the Microsoft DirectX April 2006 SDK Redistributable DLL file (d3dx9_30.dll)! Thanks . Link to comment
Gamesnert
Why do you need windows 98 compatibility mode? Isn't there an XP compatibility mode? Or can't you do without? Link to comment
The Savage Killer
XP mode doesn't resolve any of the crashes for me in MTA or GTA only Win98 does. Link to comment
robhol
Vista is crash- and instability-riddled bloatware. I recommend going back to XP or at least checking the known issues FAQ. Link to comment

darkdreamingdan
MTA doesnt work and has never worked (that is, ever since GTA3MTA 0.1) on systems lower then Windows 2000. Windows 98 wont ever be compatible so you can't really expect compatibility mode to work either. One thing, MTA works fine over here even though im (technically) on Vista. No Compatibility mode required. Link to comment
paul527
im (technically) on Vista haha, you got Vista-ized! in a more relevant note: Doesn't MTA work with WINE or Cedega? (I heard about it working fine on WINE (rhyme time), but for how many people?) Link to comment

Mr.Hankey
scarface Vista still supports DX9 otherwise I wouldn't be able to play San Andreas as it is based on dx9.0c and my graphics card does not even support dx10... Link to comment
