Magus1724
So I know that you can have a resource either in a folder or in a zip file and they both work the same way, but I thought of this earlier today: What if you have a zip of a resource and then a folder of another resource (or a different version of the same resource). Which one would take precedence? Or what would happen in that case Just a weird case that I though of and was wondering about. Link to comment
Dark Dragon
the zip folder is the important part, mta extracts it to a folder (resource caches) to run it. if you change anything in the zip file it will use the new input (after refresh and restart). Link to comment
norby89
iirc resources in folders have priority Link to comment
Magus1724
Oh so the folders that are run are actually those in the resource caches? My bad I used to extract a folder of the zips I wanted to use in the resources folder (for easier viewing/editing). So I guess those are always copied to the cache every time they are run and overwritten if they are different? Link to comment
AlienX
Correct, in theory you are using more HDD space using ZIP's than acctually using a folder - but its not much Link to comment
