paul527 Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 Should the motion blur that occurs in SA at high speeds be disabled? There, I voted. C'mon it's poll time!
SDK Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 If it affects lag, it should be an server option. Because others without the motion blur would have an advantage i think...
paul527 Posted December 3, 2006 Author Posted December 3, 2006 If it were client-side option: The people with low to mid-end computers could disable motion-blur, and then their performance would even out with the high-end computers. This way nobody has an advantage, and the race is fair.
SDK Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 and if the people with high-end computers put it off? then they will always have advantage
Twig Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 It's annoying when your eyes aren't too great as it is, so it then goes and blurs your view up even more. It also causes fps drops which could cause some desync aswell as lag, especially in low end PCs. Really it should of been a toggle option when they made the game.
orappa Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 and if the people with high-end computers put it off?then they will always have advantage Don't forget that MTA activates the frame limiter.
Strepto Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Anything that can make MTA more accessible is good, as long as you don't sacrifice the existing players which I don't think this does. The people that cheat will keep cheating, and the people that don't cheat won't get hurt by this. So make it a client-side option!
lil Toady Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Don't disable it at all. Are you even sure it can be disabled?
Kaltsu Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Don't disable it at all.Are you even sure it can be disabled? I guess it can, since it's disabled in SA-MP... I suggest to make the feature a server side option. Then anybody won't get advantage and it's more realistic anyway.
pacwarz Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Don't forget that MTA activates the frame limiter. ah man! why? what difference does it make? (man i sound like a n00b ^^)
lil Toady Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Don't forget that MTA activates the frame limiter. ah man! why? what difference does it make? (man i sound like a n00b ^^) mostly prevents the advantage of people with good PCs over people with crappy PCs
Jigga Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Don't forget that MTA activates the frame limiter. ah man! why? what difference does it make? (man i sound like a n00b ^^) mostly prevents the advantage of people with good PCs over people with crappy PCs Nah, it prevents advantage from people with NASA computers over people with normal ones.
orappa Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 It's particularly necessary in Race, as people with faster computers will find it easier to win than people with slower ones. Putting the limiter on levels the playing field somewhat.
paul527 Posted December 4, 2006 Author Posted December 4, 2006 So do you think the motion blur should be disabled?
paul527 Posted December 8, 2006 Author Posted December 8, 2006 Don't disable it at all.Are you even sure it can be disabled? I guess it can, since it's disabled in SA-MP... No it isn't, at least not on my computer, when I play SA-MP there is motion blur...
Bunny101 Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Will the real carrot please stand up! And nah, it should be on, if you cant handle some simple blur, you shouldnt play SA in the first place .
paul527 Posted December 8, 2006 Author Posted December 8, 2006 Will the real carrot please stand up!And nah, it should be on, if you cant handle some simple blur, you shouldnt play SA in the first place . maybe your new to computers, the motion blur causes some computers to perform badly, didn't you know that?
