I understand that if I have a car mod in SA.. like say I have a Nissan skyline replacing the Banshee... in MTA, I will see the skyline, but other players will see the Banshee.. correct?.. Question A: what will happen to the modded handling of the car?.. because the mod is probobly faster than the banshee... will it be set to the default handling of the banshee in MTA, or will it use it's own handling script, so the car would actually be faster than all other banshees on the Server.. Question B: what if two people on the server has the EXACT SAME mod installed.. will it work like it does in signle player?.. will both people see a skyline instead of a banshee?..if not.. what if the server also has the exact same mod...?

People will see the skyline if they also have the same mod I should also point out, modding your cars on MTA is NOT permitted, you are violating the eula

paul527 Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 and what about the collision of the model? becouse those two don't exactly have the same model. yeah, you'd have to put in a new .col file if the car is a different shape than the Banshee, or youll have the bumper going theough objects, or be bumping into things with invisible parts of your car dont worry about modding yet anyways, just goto Tranfender or ArchAngels or something, and if thats not good enough than your worried to much

Mnightmare Posted October 15, 2006 Author Posted October 15, 2006 reason I asked is, say a mod simillar to Real-GTA3 comes out for SA.. then u can have a server that's Only Real-GTAsanan..like the server is made only for people with that exact mod.. that way everybody would have the same mod, and there would be no disadvantages..so it wouldn't count as cheating or whatever..

orappa Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 Isn't MTA a violation of the San Andreas EULA? Not this discussion again.... No, MTA is not because it does not modify GTA's files. It modifies the memory space that GTA resides in when it is executed, which is legal. It also only works with 1.0 which was released before Rockstar took an anti-mod stance. And even if it were not, two wrongs wouldn't make a right.
