MTA:SA DM general global DM mode - discuss!

Post all your suggestions on as what should such a mode include and allow. I personally think it should allow to speperate modes: whole map, and seperate cities with surroundings (LS the winner).

In the big map mode, there should be max. 3 different gangs in each city, cops/swat/fbi, sailors (yes, hp regen ftw!) and perhaps some russian and chinese mafias. There should also be a class of highwaymen outskirts of the town, the mafias could be operating outskirts as well. The mode should allow you to buy food, weapons and maybe car tuning, although that wouldn't be necessary (cars get blown up quickly anyways). The clothes/hair dressers/etc aren't indispensable, but would add for a much better touch :) Casinos/hazard would be appriciated as well ;)

In the limited area mode (LS fex) there should be somewhere around 5-7 gangs in the city and precincts, a few cops classes (FBI/CIA etc..), sailors and perhaps some other classes, for fun (hookers for brophy or sumtin :D)

Post all your ideas for classes, gangs, additional features etc. Remember that blue will give you a lot of freedom and possibilities, and will be an excellent platform to build a real RPG in SA. However impo, I think we should first concentrate on a basic DM gameplay (like mta:vc.5), and after that perhaps look more into RPG features (cops vs gangs, stuff like that) - but plz do not discuss RPG in here!

I have some ideas for gamemodes.

Last man standing: Spawn in a waiting area (mappers choice) until all players are ready. When that happens, all players spawn into a arena (mappers choice) and fight to the death. When a player dies, he is spawned in the waiting area (mappers choice). When there is only one player left, the round restarts.

Destruction derby: This is like the destruction derby stadium mission in SP where you get a team mate to shoot the other cars but it's a bit like last man standing. The different is that the player can choose to be a shooter or driver. When the player has chosen what type he should be, he is spawned with everybody else in the DD ring (the destruction derby stadium or mappers choice). If the driver (this does not apply to shooters) dies, they are spawned in the waiting area.

OMFG BOMB!: This is like last man standing. There is a waiting area (mappers choice) and is a survival. When all the players are ready, they spawn in a kart in a closed-off area (mappers choice). 1 player is a bomb. This player has to get rid of the bomb by hitting other karts. When the bomb goes off, another kart/player is randomly chosen with the bomb and has to get rid of the bomb. This repeats until there is 1 player left. Also, each time the bomb blows up someone, the time for the bomb goes quicker.

These are all my ideas. I have some more but I don't feel like posting them now.

that would be cool to see some new game modes

but good old deathmatch is the best

yea well, this topic is about good old deathmatch - what i'm trying to achieve here is gather some information about the gangs/skins, their characteristics, spawnpoints and stuff like that. Weapon assigning will be the easiest part - far more challanging will be picking up different locations for different gangs (each gang should have a few spawning points) and their characteristics.

As you can see, there's not that many "original" SA gangs. There need to be somethin around 10 classes (or more?) in each city and surroundings. Following the idea from MTA:VC 0.5, I think a Sailor class with hp regeneration will fit in well. There also should be 1-2 factions that spawn outside of city areas. In average, there should be 3-4 gangs per city plus another 3-4 classes (cops/fbi/swat counting as one class). To diverse it a bit, I think there should be different gangs in different cities.

Make a Gang War with hoods.

Like every Gang has got a hood like the story mode and other Gangs must capture parts of other hoods like conquest.

A Gang earns Points with parts of the hoods, more parts=more points.

After a time limit the Gang with the most Points wins....

Gang Wars again.. why not just leave it as a DM and nothing more? If you want your server have RPG system, Clan wars and many other stuff why not to make it yourself after the release? What you suggested is even possible in mta0.5
