paul527 Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 "whyZ is MEs car locked...I wants TO BE run ArounD and shootz" lmao anyways, so what we need to do is put something BIG on the top of the download page saying exactly whats going on. It would say something like "***This is only the Race Version!!! This means only in vehicle game-play for the moment, but the DeathMatch version will be released soon, visit http://www.mtasa.com/blog for updates!!!" There, but i bet you guys already said this in your posts (like lil Toady etc), but i made a example for the other forum people to see.
Jumba' Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Multi Theft Auto is a modification for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for PC that allows you to play it online against players around the world. This is the first release of MTA:SA which contains a race modification and a race map editor. Are they fricking blind or somethin?

Everyone is just lazy to read, their target is only the download link, not the text around it yes .. by the thousands of 'em i doubt what will be the result of browsing my sever log for the things said by 'Player' but . yes its basically there on the download site , but its said very subtle i agree on paul527 (edit i agreed on the part where it was huge font , clear , and hard to miss maybe there is a typo or the actuall text can be improved .. ) Edited September 26, 2006 by Guest

This is the first release of MTA:SA which contains a race modification and a race map editor. Are they fricking blind or somethin? They are not blind, but people may be reading this the wrong way. (which may be possible, because some people are not good with english) When they read it the wrong way, they think that its DeathMatch packaged with a MTA RaceMod and MapEditor. Dev responce also please.
darkdreamingdan Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Yeah - paul is right. It's missing the word 'only', and it gives the impression that it contains "a race modification and a race map editor" as an extra
orappa Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I liked the old 0.5 days where there was a massive banner at the top of the home page that it was pretty hard to miss. You have to do a bit more searching this time in order to find the latest version.
paul527 Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 So when are you guys gonna make the change?
paul527 Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 So when are you guys gonna make the change? Double post, umm when you guys gonna change the download page?
Gamefreek Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Who said the download page was gonna be changed?
paul527 Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 It was an idea. We thought it would be better to make the download page alittle more understandable. We all know you are the admin so stop acting like Mr Cool
erorr404 Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 He's just a moderator, he has no control over the front page.
paul527 Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 I know, but when I was asking for the download page to be changed, I was hoping that the Developers would see and inform whoever manages mtasa.com to make the changes. I dont know how Gamefreek got into this...
orappa Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Blokker's the main person who runs the site. I think eAi and IJs can edit it as well though.
CoZ Posted September 30, 2006 Author Posted September 30, 2006 Blokker's the main person who runs the site. I think eAi and IJs can edit it as well though. i thought harry ? . or is he only managing the center site ?

I think eAi and IJs can edit it as well though. i thought harry ? . or is he only managing the center site ? harry manages the center - yes. he also does a bit with the blue center accounts. But the forums, the blog, the gallery, the to-be competition section, are all in the hands of the mighty blokky.
CoZ Posted September 30, 2006 Author Posted September 30, 2006 hmmm .. hope he doesnt forget it then because earlier in the topic he wrote ....I do agree that we should change the description a bit on the downloadpage to indicate that the current release is race only. ...,
paul527 Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Maybe the MTA team needs some people to manage their site while they are trying to code MTA:SA:DM. I dont wanna do it, but theres probably someone out there who loves to manage webcites.

MTA Team jhxp Posted October 11, 2006 MTA Team Posted October 11, 2006 aint Harry and DomSpy working on the site? Yes, though DomSpy left the Center dev team a few months ago.
paul527 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Another reason to change the download page. http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=18177
