Jani
/me slaps devs around with secret "idle error" they coded into mtasa Link to comment
Leviathan
so if it isn't programmed, it has to be another error then? so post your error exactly here. Link to comment
derhitman
when i refresh server list... --------------------------------------------- pinging 207 servers.... scanning 207 servers... idle --------------------------------------------- thats the problem i got picture below : http://www.yourfilehost.com/media.php?cat=image&file=GTA_SA.JPG i said before... i tried the router solution allready and also shut down firewall allready Link to comment
bloodeye
That is correct! i have that, and server start with 9999ping and update with their names etc, but are you not having any server names appearing? Ps i also got the 'Connection timed out' ALOT seems that once i have joined a game its more likely to let me join others Edit: Ok maybe its not normal if you click refresh and a dialong box appears stating 'could not connect to server list' i also get that Link to comment
Towlies
It sounds alot like the ports arnt forwarded on your router. Link to comment
Leviathan
hmm, you could allways try to join servers via game-monitor or the direct join url. Link to comment
xGj
/me slaps devs around with secret "idle error" they coded into mtasa Anyway, I think ports need to be forwarded on your router or perhaps your firewall blocks it, because of all the unscanned servers, about the idle.. that isnt an error, it means the browser has nothing to do atm. Its first pinging all servers, then scanning their names and then its idle. Link to comment
Jani
I'm sure that not having open ports would cause this error. Link to comment
Leviathan
normally you only have to open ports in a router when running a server... I never open ports for just online play, I never need to open them... Link to comment
derhitman
have played mta : VC so.... and when i use quick connect and pick server from a website (whats posted allong other posts) i cant connect it Link to comment
NapsK
Have you installed some 'nvidia-firewalls' or other features of it? If so: Turning them off doesn't work, you have to remove it! I had that too, and it worked, it has nothing to do with ports I guess. Link to comment
derhitman
no firewalls.... i play mmorpg also... and america's army... enemy territory.. etc etc... Link to comment
Leviathan
Have you installed some 'nvidia-firewalls' or other features of it? WHAT?? NVIDIA-FIREWALLS??? never heard of that... lol (*starts some research to nvidia firewalls*) Link to comment
NapsK
Not my problem. I had drivers installed from my motherboard. ( Because I bought a new one ), and yes, there were features of Nvidia firewall, which I had installed. Link to comment
