Leviathan Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Most people (excluding my friends) that join my server get kicked after some time by suspected cheating, and that's a lot of kicks. Could there be so many players with invalid files or is there something wrong with my anti cheat? Ofcourse I could switch off anti cheat, but it's just strange so many people get kicked by my server.

=TmM= DuffBeer Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 I have noticed this happenning to a lot of people randomly. They just rejoin, claim they have no cheats and then they play fine.

Leviathan Posted February 7, 2006 Author Posted February 7, 2006 hmm that possible might be it. (I was playing with some uknown guys and one of them had been kicked for 3 times). strange is they play some races and then they get kicked... . My game install is clean btw, and the anti-cheat updates every time.
=TmM= DuffBeer Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Happened to someone just now, he admitted he did'nt have a legit game. Pretty sensitive detection I think, perhaps this could be why then? ..
Leviathan Posted February 7, 2006 Author Posted February 7, 2006 ofcourse it is, but it doesn't explain why he got kicked after some time and not when joining the server...
Guest Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 (edited) I get kicked for suspected cheating after being afk for a round or two. Also sometimes the chat interface won't display wat I type anymore, then people start saying "STOP CHEATING KED U FKING HAXORZ" etc.. So i just reconnect and solved. nowt to do with me I just wanna play the game. Its like, 1000 games in one. Edited February 19, 2006 by Guest
driver2 Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 I happens sometimes that you can't activate checkpoints or vehicle-changes anymore and your chat messages won't be displayed. A short time after that, you will be kicked for cheating, while it is impossible to win the race (what an effecient type of cheating). This happened to me and several other players on various servers. It is different to lag or timeout. I sometimes activate the checkpoint a few seconds after I drove through, but this happens not often and is not very disturbing if you just keep on driving. When having a timeout, it will look for the other players like you have just quit the game.
orappa Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 I think you are timing out there. It happens to me too.
MTA Team Blokker_1999 Posted February 18, 2006 MTA Team Posted February 18, 2006 When nothing registers (chat, cps, pickups, ...) you are timing out. The connection to the server is lost, the game just doesn't know yet and it can take some time. Also the anti-cheat isn't perfect. It can kick people without them cheating. That is why it says suspected cheating and why it kicks instead of bans.
bloodeye Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 I've notice if people get stuck in the ground that they are likely to get kicked. Ive been kicked once, my comp froze i had to Ctl Alt Del to force quite MTA, but as MTA is great nothing screws up:)
Leviathan Posted February 18, 2006 Author Posted February 18, 2006 I've just turned off anti cheat on my server, I can allso kick cheaters manually and I dont need a tool for it.
driver2 Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 I think you are timing out there. It happens to me too. But it kicks me for suspected cheating.
orappa Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 You time out and your machine doesn't respond to the server's requests so it thinks you are cheating. Apparently the timer for cheat detection is shorter than the timer for timeout detection.

Guest Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 If it kicks for not having a legit game as the man says then thats 50%+ of the community kicked.
orappa Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 If it kicks for not having a legit game as the man says then thats 50%+ of the community kicked. Well maybe they should buy it then. But no, it doesn't kick for that reason.
happyrock Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 John I heard that 2.0 does not work with mta or whatever
orappa Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 John I heard that 2.0 does not work with mta or whatever Only 1.0 works, but Talidan created a convertor: http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=15151
lmn8r Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 from what I see it mostly kicks people due to simple bugs. bugs like a poor connection, so it kicks you. also I see very commonly, people will fall into the water at certain points in the map but not die, and after a while it kicks you. its more of a nuisance then a problem, most times it kicks you your already f*cked
