eAi Posted December 8, 2005 Share Posted December 8, 2005 I've just checked this myself - I use AVG - and I have the same problem. I've contacted AVG about it, though from past experience with Anti-virus companies, its quite likely they'll ignore us entirely. Link to comment

Well thats an improvement An AV company who actually listens Symantec actually listened too, when I reported a similar problem to them I've changed the thread's name to something more useful btw. Slothman Posted December 9, 2005 Share Posted December 9, 2005 if you either get a virus alert, or get a permissions error when trying to start MTA, this is due to the latest AVG update. untill a new update comes out for AVG that fixes this: to resolve this issue easily and without removing avg: -open the control centre -locate the option to disable "Heuristic scanning" -uncheck it -play mta -re-enable this feature once your done if you choose to -to find out what "Heuristic scanning" is, click here Link to comment
