Drizzy
I have two points here... Well the first one, is a thing that I really loved in San Andreas and I think as it's a new feature it should be used in MTA SA --- The Customization of player and his car. *Player: I know we wont be able to leave our vehicle in first release, but what if you would have a menu before joining the game where you can customize the look of your player? As it's a race mod, you could race with your own style. (i.e. put a helmet, a biker jacket, track pants, cowboy boots...) *Car: We all know this feature from Single Player - car modding. I dont know which is the best way to implement this... But I have two ideas: 1-In the beginning, before you start the race, after the customize player step, you could edit your car. Sure, ppl will put everything on their ride, and 10x Nitro Boost, etc... Nah, everyone will be too cool. Parts cost money, and money is won in races. So in the beginning you start with only 500$, just enough to repaint your ride the way you want or put a small nitro boost. And more races you win - more and better parts you can add. 2-When you already joined the game and you are in San Andreas world, you can always freeroam, not especially race, right? So if you have enough money (from winning races), you can drive your car into transfender (wheel archangels/locolow, depending on what category ur ride is) and modify it there. Again, you start with 500$, just enough for a new color or a 2x nitro boost. _____________________________________________________________ The second one is cheat detection. As you said, Blue will be fully modifiable. Good! Though its good for hackers too... So what I suggest is to implement a hack detector. It will autokick the player from the game if his speed goes more than a certain number (the max km/h for every car). Because if its fully modifiable, peeps will just mod a certain file in /data folder and voila, see them flyyyy.... So we gotta do something with it. I suggest the speedhack detector. And also, maybe, add a HPHack detector, so if after the smallest collision his HP doesnt go down, - the cheater will be autokicked. So what you think? Link to comment
rockstarrem
I think its a really good idea! Just for the next time though (s oyou'll know put this under the suggestions. Anyway I really like what you though about the customization of the vehicle. But for the player partits kinda hard to sya. Half the time you'll be in cars and planes and the other half on bikes. Good ideas Link to comment
Drizzy
Thanks. And yeah, these ideas are for next releases after the first one. Cuz now all I want is MTASA getting released faster!! I want itt!!.11!!.11!!!!11!1 Link to comment
orappa
I doubt this will be implemented before release but I think that players should only be able to customise the look of their car, and not anything that would give them an advantage over other players. This is because if you win a race and get nitro, it becomes a lot easier to win future races. This means that you'll keep on winning and everyone else will keep on losing which isn't really fair. As you said, Blue will be fully modifiable. Good! Smile Though its good for hackers too...So what I suggest is to implement a hack detector. However, you need the SDK in order to mod Blue - it's not as simple as editing a file. The SDK will most likely be released after Deathmatch. Link to comment

orappa
SDK = Software Development Kit. This will provide you with documentation and source code to create your own C++ DLLs with to use in combination with MTA:SA. Link to comment

First of all the Server and the Client has to have the same mod, second of all I think the MTA team is smart enough to have a Cheat Detection against Trainers, etc. And.. I really hope you actually didn't think that the MTA team would be so stupid that the Mod system would work like that. And note: You need the SDK (Software Development Kit) to mod MTA. Kent747
hehe nice idea but: what about mods people make for blue that allows everyone to drive their car at really high speeds? We dont' want to limit people. That said, we have come up with what we feel is a good solution Link to comment

Shadowsniper
Im sure they have there own thing, but my friend did a multiplayer mod for lemmings, he got punkbuster support for it too, i was in the beta test team, punkbuster stopped virtually all hack and trainers possible, so they could try for punkbuster Link to comment
Guest
Thats nice modding your own car in mp:O and no cheaters(i hope) Link to comment
