Zonex Favel Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 (edited) I was wondering if the new gta san andreas released to prevent mods will have any effect on the gta blue. I was reading on how the game got a rating of AO and they were making a new non-moddable version to keep the game from being modded. Edited August 12, 2005 by Guest
njr1489 Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 About the new version not allowing hooks onto the exe? Yes. VCK FORUMS
Gamefreek Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 Well it seems R* officially screwed over all MP mods for SA as it stands right now..
orappa Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 (edited) ... that's if the new SA has the 1.01 patch. Edited August 19, 2005 by Guest MTA:SA FAQ - Read this before asking questions. MTA:SA Troubleshooting - Read this first if you have problems.
njr1489 Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 Rockstar did say they would make the new SA version come with the new patch a while ago. VCK FORUMS
Posty Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 Rockstar did say they would make the new SA version come with the new patch a while ago. The AO version doesnt have the patch I believe. Which is why it's rated AO, so they can keep selling it, and not worry about the hot coffee. Once the patch is in the games, it should be back to 1.01. Easiest test, install hot coffee, and see if it works. If it does, you have 1.0. Also, they said that they successfully hooked blue into 1.01, it just needs a few changes.
njr1489 Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 I just saw the blog, its good to hear that the mod can continue. VCK FORUMS

EthanJP Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 Or we can counter engineer the mod and make all game versions back down to version 1.0 and then put a message before the download saying must be 18 to play and rate it AO ourselves lol [qoute=Jack Thompson]Infact, we have got a bunch of sociopaths in Edinburgh-Scotland sitting around in kilts sipping their single malt whiskey, spreading racial and hurtful stereotypes. Does he realise he's an idiot?

It seems that those people over 18 who bought the AO version have to forfeit the AO content in order to get bug fixes. MTA:SA FAQ - Read this before asking questions.
