Guest
Hi everyone! For a couple friends, I have set up the MTA Server at my computer. But sometimes, some 'professionals' come in my server. No problem, let they play. But, they try to use commands starting with !, but my server doesn't respond on that. What are those commands and how can I enable them? Thanks Edited July 13, 2005 by Guest Link to comment
orappa
You need the MTAMA admin utility available from http://home.deds.nl/~aeron/ This utility requires mIRC ( http://www.mirc.com ) and enables you to run scripts on your server. One recommended script package would be MTAMA: GRS, available here: http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=8788 Link to comment
Guest
So: I have to install mIRC and that plugin so the server will react on that commands??? Link to comment
orappa
Yep, and some scripts such as the General Release Script recommended above. Link to comment
Brophy
yes u need mirc, then u load the mtama, connect to your server, enable admin+ and load the grs script , there should be a readme with it to help u if u get stuck Link to comment
Guest
I just don't get it... What have I do: 1. Install mIRC in C:\Program Files\mIRC 2. place the self extractor of mtama in that directory and install it there. 3. read the GRS_MANUAL.txt file What am I forgetting? Already a great thank you for trying to help me Link to comment
MrJax
No it's not, he's forgeting mtama (which doesn't have a self extractor), people keep getting confused between mtama and mtama:grs. Link to comment

Owww, thats why mIRC keeps giving an error (that that stuff may not be loaded, it must be loaded with mtama) Let's try Edit: I can login on the server with that admin stuff on mIRC, but after a few seconds, this happens: * Disconnected: Timed out. And in the server module, this comes: ADMIN-QUIT (nick e.d.) ... quit due to timeout. I think that is not normal... Link to comment

Try the server-patch on http://www.mtavc.com THe mta-server.exe in the cleint-packet is 'bugged'. Link to comment
Guest
Owkeuj, It doesn't work... A few commands for the admin work in the admin module, but that's all. The commands like !stats just don't work! Link to comment
Jani
Make sure you enable Admin+ in the MTA:mA, and enable Stats in the GRS interface. Link to comment
Guest
Weird: the splashscreen of MTA:mA:GRS doesn't leave... Link to comment
Jani
Right click on its bar in the taskbar and just close it. It's known to just hang on some systems. Link to comment
Guest
And now mIRC doesn't react annymore :') I can kill everything Link to comment
Oli
if GRS hangs it could be loading a large hash table OR could be converting an existing stats file into the GRS format. Wait a few minutes and see what happens. There is a "close" button on the grs dialog. To get back to it type /menu in irc. This stuff can all be found in the GRS manual. Link to comment
