maybe a poll about connection speeds could give us some indication not sure if there's been a poll about connection speed in the past..

LoL yea i've accidently banned myself from my own MTA server several times because i was impatient and tapped connect in the client all the time (before ASE was rdy) got banned for join flood not any problem tho.. but would be sad for someone to get stuck there, not knowing how to unban yourself from your own server edit: this only happens when im offline, cause the scanner cant connect in ASE, when im on the internet there is no problem, server shows up right away cause scanner gets connection (obviously.)

how would it be with bandwith if u got so much players 32+? i would be glad for the people that could enjoy such high player limit but I myself could never play against such an amout of players.. well maybe for a day or 2 then slumbering offline till' i got new bandwith. but just ignore the bandwith here, i want as high max player limit as possible for u lucky internet users that have flatrate edit: of course now i wasen't thinking about the connection speed, we still want the dial-up users to stay right?

i guess the community decides the popularity of the mods, time will tell how popular the mods will be but then again if a clan server chooses to have certain pick-ups here and there, then u have to familiarize yourself with their set-up. These "mods" with moving the spawns and pick-ups is not so much of a chaos really but a very good way to add variation in MTA.

saying e-frag admins doesn't tell us much since alot of the UK servers are rented from e-frag, so don't acuse all the e-frag servers anyways if its a good MTA server then they probably have a forum where u can post your complaint for your ban and if u post, make sure u have a good argument for it. since it is a admin that banned u im not sure if he'll give u another chance, if it was a random ban then i would be another case.. this sounds as if ur banned from all the e-frag servers

awesome! skin bug as been irritating me a little, back in 0.3 when u selected the S.W.A.T guy (in stunt mode, dont know if the bug is still there) u would think, 'hey! this is a kool skin' then l8r on when playing on LAN i saw my m8 as the gay dressed man skin (when he had selected S.W.A.T ) edit: wasen't sure if it really is fixed

maybe u could read the scripting.html that follows with MTA:mA? it explains it pretty well. if u still dont get a clue then im not sure if Oli can explain it so much better.. search the forum for info on how to script

kool u can see all that most crashes accour when im playing on the LAN network, as i need to keep an eye out for the bandwith usage for online play.. thank god it ain't so long those 2 gb get drained up real fast

actually u can degrade it to vers 1.0 agen just insert your VC install disc and browse for the gta-vc.exe, and put in the VC root dir, replace it with the 1.1 exe... Voila u now got vers 1.0 agen.

Why does it matter? Most of your reports were probably exactly the same. yea we dont want to turn this into a compititon on who gets the most crashes i would very much like to be in the other end of the crash "score" list

yea my lousy specs hehe ERT shut down GTA III so fast that i didn't even notice it crash, very convient as u can get ingame real fast. but still there should be the feature to save the report so it can be sent when going back online (when u've been playing of the internet, on LAN for instance) anyways useful tool i'll try to get all my friends using it

ERT stands for Error Report Tool i just made it to grab vers. 1.3 of ERT on friday before i went to a LAN party for the weekend, we played GTA III quite a lot and i had several crashes, (some of my friends too.) but sadly i couldn't write a report so that the error report could be sent when i got online again. instead the dialog just shut down, there should be a option to save the report to send when u got online again also what i noticed is that the computers with low specs (1.8-2.4 ghz) seemed to crash much more than the pc above 3 ghz (im not gonna bore u with the other specs )

yea im quite aware of that, there are many remote locations here that only can get satelite internet or 56 k guess im just lucky to be on the main island

ok work perfect now, no bug at all, dont know what u did to fix it I like that system, simple and easy to use, hopefully it will give some gd info about the crashes for the future.

ok eAi working now there's one issue tho, the Error Tool wants to update itself, even after i put updated files in there. Anyone else getting this?

but also in MTA:Blue there could be on/off function for the car bomb feature, as with almost anyting else that should be configurable

ok i tested again using my cd, instead of crack. didn't work but i can see that the program has had influence on the crashes, its very convient that the game closes down so fast, so u can get ingame again quick the only thing im missing is for the dialog to show up after crash, there can be many reasons for this.

well on the Blue site they said many VC features. that would hopefully involve bomb shop, it would be awesome to trigger the bomb jump out of your vehicle and let it blow up in a crowd. not sure if it will be there tho

ok installed 1.1. made it crash on purpose, sitting as passenger on bike with no driver game minimized (great to get rid of that windows window) but the MTA error Reporter dialog didn't appear, i guess its because this is a VC bug, and not MTA. So it gets ignored

i use broadband and it runs quite well, however i have the most stupid ISP that puts on bw limit of 2 gb that lasts about 2 weeks with playing mta regulary, then i have to w8 till the next month before i can start playing agen that is if i dont want a HUGE bill! only solution i have (dominating ISP here) is to plan how to get those 2 gb to last, so that i can play/surf the whole month, cause sitting and waiting for the month gives withdrawal symptoms nah playing it on lan helps a little bit

for u all 56 k'ers, I recommend to play mta on LAN at times, if u can u just dont get the full enjoyment out of MTA with 56 kbit, but u cant do anyting about it.. well u could of course get a better internet thats always something.. it even recommened BB in the manual, ahh its easy for me to say "get a better internet!" but i know it aint that simple
