yea i agree on that one, also in many first-person shooters u can change the different weapon skins and sound, but it doesn't give u any advantage, just more play-time value -

of course, unsynced mods could be cool (downloading powers, heheh), but not fair yup the mods will have to be made specially for MTA so that will give the modder community a lot of work to do, as i presume the mods for sp are "useless" for MTA, maybe they can be converted tho, so they dont need to start from scratch -
hmmz not swimming underwater but u can fly under water with help of a little glitch, also I believe there was a submarine mod for VC. neva seen a player diving mod tho.

well when i reinstall the client never finds the right version i use the 1.1 version and that unknow error usually only appears when u've not picked the right version. However if u've not updated ur anythin leave the box at 1.0 still not workin? i suggest u try and update the exe to 1.1 and see if that works here's a link to the VC patch site Vice City patch also plp have been having problems with foreign VC installs in the past, if ur running the english one there sudn't be any problems

u got a BW fan right here and wat about NFS: Underground? dont u make ur cars rdy for online play there? tho that idea with getting advantage by having a gd save, i dont like that idear

hell no it doesn't just dont let it be 2 gb or sumthin like that, or else i use up my bandwith in one dl which wud mean NO mta for one month (wat a horrible thought.) i wud dl it anyway tho

omg, u were actually sad enough to record it at 1.2 seconds? not actually if u look into the server folder in ur MTA dir, u'll see a notesblock file, that is the server log, i open server (with wrong ip) and then go into the VC dir to open the log (there u see the socket thingy) btw u seem to confuse the client with the server (i sure haven't seen the client pop up for just a sec) i suggest u go into run/cmd/ipconfig put that ip in ur server conf file

yes and acording to what the MTA teams says about MTA: Blue u'll be able to put the weapon pick-ups whereever u want, and in a large number aswell (u wud of course need to be server admin to put the mods in)

naah i wud recommend Teamspeak as it uses much less CPU (also works over WLAN network)

hmm haven't been experiencing that bug in the normal VC sp game i remember that the bug gets mentioned in the GTA readme, but aint sure i will try that one.

what would the players say if a new building suddenly showed up? and they'd crash right into it lol i cant imagine the server map to be modded whilst playing. that wud lead to alot of a weird situations.

This sounds as if ur tryin to open the server itself on ur own machine, if ur gonna play online then the server isn't necessary use the client, and find servers with ASE however if ur tryin to open the server for LAN play, then the problem cud be that u typed in the wrong ip in the mtaserver.conf

The server makes sure that all files are alike in all the MTA clients, so that the mods will be the same on all comps. edit: so that wud involve u goin after them in air

Oh god yeah. I hate that. They don't have to be synced or anything - just a random starting point. Totally agree on that one, make it a default

ive used the search and i couldnt find anything where the devs said it isnt possible to implement a few AI into MTA. maybe im not searching hard enough, but can you give us the link please? im hearing many people say that its not possible but that doesnt mean anything to me because im not hearing any good arguements. there has not been an official word on this, that i know of. so as ive said, i'll shutup about it if the devs have already ruled AI out. bots aren't totally impossible, but it will be in a limited amount, cause the bot uses his piece of bandwith too. there was someone planning on doin a bot that cud be taxi and drive around the city.

yes u'll be able to be in a total regular server without any mods the MTA team is sorting that out i imagine that u see from the server browser which server has mods, and which dont

I think all that with spawns and ammo will be customisable from server-side

not sure what u mean by lag on LAN, im running MTA on LAN every once in a while i dont find it so laggy. i'm sure your refering to the "lag" u see when other cars move around, and when u are passenger, it can appear as a little weird movement (but this is the netcode) myself i think it runs pretty smooth on LAN i suggest u ignore those things MTA is very enjoyable anyways.. u cud be having another problem tho, not sure.

TANK WARS!! all the spawn skins in the server get switched with military skins, and all cars get replaced by tanks (btw is the panzer even gonna be in MTA:Blue? i wud think so ) Then all the tanks get modified, so they dont have unlimited hp. Then its just blowing up eachother left

if u read the MTA: Blue info carefully u'll see that they have indeed solved that out i suggest u read the forum a little better
