Go into the ATI Catalyst Control Center and disable Catalyst A.I. Also run this: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/d ... 6652cd92a3
-
Download this: https://updatesa.multitheftauto.com/sa/files/mtasa-1.0.4.exe and install it to a new directory. i.e. C:\Program Files\MTA San Andreas Copy\
-
How far does the game get before showing the error? Does it show the MTA 'Stop playing with yourself' box? Does it show the 'Grand Theft Auto San Andreas' loading screen?
-
Please try this patch: https://updatesa.multitheftauto.com/sa/files/mtas ... 0-nsis.exe Install it over your current MTA version.
-
What MTA version? (Press F8 and type 'ver')
-
Remove the 'custom' d3d9.dll from the GTA San Andreas install directory
-
Please confirm you have gta_sa.exe in your GTA San Andreas install directory using windows explorer It is usually here: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\ or here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\

There is better error reporting in the fastest Linux nightly. Try that and see what it says: https://nightly.multitheftauto.com/?multitheftaut ... -rc-latest

In the Settings menu, select the Advanced tab. Then choose Asynchronous Loading: On

This problem is due to a bug in 1.0.4 It is now fixed in 1.0.4 nightly r2000 Fixed Linux server: https://nightly.multitheftauto.com/?multitheftaut ... -rc-latest Fixed Windows server: soon

When a resource is started, its client files are copied into 'resource-cache/http-client-files'. Your server lag is probably down to one resource doing something naughty. Try stopping resources one by one and see if the lag goes away. Or use https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/Resource:Performancebrowser

You seem to be missing the '&' at the end of the line in the MTA version. Also, to prevent excessive log size, it is advisable to use the -t option when using nohup: nohup ./mta-server -t &
-
Install the latest nightly from: https://nightly.multitheftauto.com/?mtasa-1.0.4-rc-latest In the 'Settings' menu, select 'Advanced', then choose: Brower speed: Very slow Single connection: On

Run dxdiag and click on the 'Save All Information' button. Open the saved file and reveal the content of the first 4 sections: System Information, DxDiag Notes, DirectX Debug Levels and Display Devices. (You might like to remove the 'Machine name' field from the first section). Also please, what is your motherboard model, with exact detail ?

Ok, this appears to be a bug in MTA: The maximum name length (of 32 characters) for custom data is not being enforced correctly on the client. So, basically, you probably have a client side setElementData call using a name greater than 32 characters. This eventually leads to new players receiving invalid data (fatal error 6) when they join your server.

This error should not occur in 1.0.4 Please reveal: 1. OS (Windows or Linux, and which type/distro) 2. What the server says when you type 'sver' into the console 3. Your server IP (so I can try connecting)
-
If you have access to the server console, use the 'addaccount' command there (without the /)
-
Please double check that you are selecting the correct directory. Otherwise, find gta_sa.exe in explorer, right click, select properties and upload a piccy of that.
-
Actually, this should fix it: apt-get remove libpcre3 apt-get install libpcre3
-
Please tell me your server IP and show your mtaserver.conf
-
Try: apt-get install libpcre3-dev
-
Is your server: Windows or Linux? What version? (Type 'sver' in the console)
