Try to play Singleplayer for a while to store the keybindings in the Windows registry. After that, try MTA again.

The /mta: Not connected to server means you didnt install MTA:mA correctly 1. Download the latest version of mIRC at http://www.mirc.com 2. Unload older 'mta.mrc' by '/unload -rs mta.mrc' (Without qoutes) 3. Remove older MTA:mA files 4. Place all the files from the archive into a directory, Example 'C:\Program files\mirc\mtama'. 5. In mirc's status window type '//load -rs $+(",$$sfile(*.mrc,Select your mta.mrc,Load),")' (Without qoutes) 6. Select your 'mta.mrc' 7. Click on 'Load' (It may ask for confirmation that you wish to run the script, hit Yes.) 8. Done

Reading is that difficult. Well, it is not too hard to remeber the votes and comments for newer version, but we did choose to reset these. THis will not be changed.

What windows version are you using?

Reinstall VC, so you have a clean install and try again.

Comments and votes are based on a certain version of a map. This is not an accident, as you can really f*ck up a map in a new version. So every version is rated independent and all comments are for that map only. Prove by getting the comments again you map is worth playing!

I wouldnt depend on it and make MTA available for ordinairy ppl. Otherwise you wont have any players left in the long run

As there are no rows ppl complaining about this, i think it is too simple to just point to the anti-cheat. It's only happening on your server so there has to be a problem on your server or its connection conflicting with something in MTA. We need to troubleshoot a little more to find the eacte source of the problem.

Well, as a progress meter implicates the time left it will create some expectations. If something fails or breaks, or a huge bug is detected the bar should drop. That way it wont be of any use. My suggestion is a binary progress meter. At this moment the progress is: 0 (NOT finished yet) Later on it might change to 1 if its finished.
