Congrats to ULK for winning Week 5,their first time in the Event

This weeks event is with 4 clans,each with 6 players. Those currently involved are VCES,UVA,ULK+DNA. The rules have been mildly adapted,mainly to reduce the time the event takes. Despite this,expect to be playing for roughly 2 hours. The 'Battle' begins at 22:00 GMT,Saturday 11th Sept. The server is closed from 21:30 Hrs,people are allowed to join from then. Teamspeak is provided for any clan who requires it. Can the 4 clans named above confirm their participation please. UVA are the defending Champions from last week.

lol ok NP,i was under the impression it was based on the Ladder style set up. If its a league,its different. The Ladder set up i used for a few years in MoH,worked perfetcly well Death,it was just much more easy going regarding who played in the ladder. But this is a league,set number of games,with an eventual winner of the league. Makes sense to me

The ladder i played on before wasnt set up like this one is Basically any clan could join the ladder at anytime. All clans were then left to play eachother as often as they could. The results were posted up and the table ammened accordingly. The onus is then on the clans,they can play when they want,as often as they want,and a clan could participate as soon as they entered. This is more like a league set-up,far more rigid. I would suggest the usual ladder set up. Clans must play every other clan,but are free to play them at the pace which suits them best.

The Crash rule should apply to all weapons. I'm quite happy to except being out if i was being hit as i crashed. Not if your firing though,crashing while shooting at someone in the distance,who is running away,wasnt likely to of left you dead. Car kills im not against,though im unlikely to be in one during a match,only of course to get to the action. Heli Kills ive always been against as i felt it took some of the fun out of the game,they can be avoided,but who wants to hide in a building for a whole match. Flamer,im not fussed,if they have it,we have it too,personally i dont like them,but they are great for defense The ammo glitch,thats only noticed when its really abused. M60 being a great example,though i am able to collect over 900 M4 rounds in under 3 minutes,and on match night,i always do

I think the Crash rule as Kung defines it is to severe. The only reason it was introduced originally,was down to 'Players' being shot down,and claiming a crash,before the final 'kill' shot could be fired. Which meant you could basically have another chance in the match,when more than likely ,you were dead. I would say that if you crash,when on the ground after being shot,you are out. If you crash in the vicinity of the opposing team,but not actually firing,then return. I have no wish to see the Stubby removed,but certain players have the habit of jumping about and shooting from their feet. Im not saying NO to that,but i have to remind MY players what they can and cant do.... Mollies and Nades i have no problem with,you rarely notice the odd gltich,only the 'spamming' is what i tend to object too

To be honest,ive got worries over the whole Admin/Spectator set up. Some clans have representation,and others have none. The fact that clan members are calling decisions,worries me too. The rules also have a few gaps,and i can see issues arising,like there have been before. Example - Crash in Combat = Kill Glitch Abuse ? Just nades/mollies or are we including shooting through walls?stubby glitch,etc. That needs some defenition. Dont get me wrong,i am all for this ladder,there are enough decent clans around to make a go of this. But weve been playing clan matches a while now,and seen all the issues that arise,i think we should clear that up first and foremost. Have we not got 5 wholly independent players in the community who are willing to have an involvement in this? Harry is good,experienced yet independent Im not trying to sink this before its launched,but there are some very volatile people in the community,reputations are at stake somewhat,and if we dont fill the gaps now,it will only crop up later Also,are teams limited to 6? We normally play 8 v 8,and most clans can cater for that. If they cant,im willing to play with less,but can we have no restrictions on team size,as long as both clans agree before their match?

Other ladders i've been in had rules concerning 'no shows',i doubt we will have that with the clans involved,but has that been considered? If your arranging the fixtures,dont forget the time differences,and dont choose silly times like 8pm

Yep,its savage now....... Before we could attack a rooftop,and 'drop' our players on target,no need to land. The 'droppers' would land on their feet,normally with nil health loss,and could fight immeadietely. Now you have to land the Heli,wait for the pilot to get out,and then the passengers get out Makes attacking rooftops much harder

I just wondered if it would be possible to jump out a Heli again and survive In 3.2 we could do this,but in 4.1,its certain death I realise this is a new core,perhaps lots will be different,but the way it is now,people are scared to share helis Ive noticed you can exit a Heli in flight,only if its hovering and completely level. Before,you could jump out if it was moving with little risk of death,and we miss all the opportunities that came with it........ Just a query The rest of 'Blue' sounds absolutely cracking,cant wait

The rules for this are simple,and should ensure faster gameplay. A number of clans will hold a base in VC,and will have to defend it,whilst attacking other clans bases. You must leave at least 1 member defending the base at all times. You must have at least 1 member attacking at all times. The Defenders can call for assistance when under Attack,the Attacking teammates can return and assist in Defence,only when the Base is under attack. This encourages clans to attack,and attempt to destroy the defenders as quickly as possible. When a clan is down to its last member,they must attack,and abandon its base. When only 2 clans remain in the round,defence is forgotten,both clans attack. No bases are kept,CITY WIDE ATTACK. All weapons allowed (except flamer,unless wanted by all clans) WEAPON PICK UPS MUST BE DONE DURING THE ROUND. CLANS MUST GET TO THEIR BASE ASAP AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH ROUND. Respawns allowed after crash,as long as you werent fighting during the crash. When killed = No Respawn No Heli Kills One Heli per clan. Bases must be reachable by foot,but you may place players on rooftops as part of your defense. No hesitating is allowed,any clan hanging back and lamely attacking will be kicked. This prevents clans waiting for others to die first,and shortens the round times. So depending on how many clans are in,you will need : 4 clans of 6 members 5 clans of 5 members No spectators allowed. CLANS ARE ALLOWED UNLIMITED SUBSTITUTES. Im still trying to update from 3.08 On connection it attempts to update to 3.10,and downloads the updated files. Then it just says CRC mismatch on the auto updater,and doesnt update Wouldnt update to 3.09 either. Any ideas whats causing this? Edit: its not been touched in anyway,downloaded, installed,works,just never has updated

Well,there isnt a 2nd place really,its all about the winning clan. I suppose he means FMJ were last because they were first out of every round. Anyway well done UVA on your huge achievement at taking the 'Crown' away from VCES (for this week anyway)

Weve had to face many a clan on rooftops,reachable only by heli. We used to have a failsafe method in 3.2 to deal with it,but with 4.1 its been prevented. But we still find we can take a rooftop safely,it all depends on how you go about it. In your example last night,you took a heli on your own. Im unsure how you exited the heli,but going on your own wasnt the best idea,perhaps overconfident? There really is no need to have Heli Kills,we practice on the exact scenario you suffered last night,and we can take rooftops without losing the heli,in the majority of cases. Sometimes it all go's to ratshit,but thats the way it goes. Perhaps you should of attacked the rooftop with some assistance,Trinity only had you to deal with,so she was able to concentrate solely on you. Very Gung Ho,i always prefer to have more attackers than defenders. The FKU tactic of having 4 defending and just you attacking was not bad,but it left you unable to deal with certain situations. Anyone can heli kill,but taking rooftops is harder,something you need to think about i guess...
