Have you tried...err...re-installing windows?

In your GTA3 folder, run MTAServer.exe, then go into the launcher as normal and click "Start Multi Theft Auto" and start, when in credits alt+tab out, click "Send Game Request" then alt+tab back to game, in a few seconds your game will start. You may get an error that says "Another Client Connected From The Same IP Address" in that case its ****ed and theres nothing you can do about it, either join another server or play Single Player GTA. I advise you buy Vice City and play that, it works much better and the game is more enjoyable than GTA3 is.

Couldn't you hook the engine and manually insert the traffic, then send the co-ords for the new traffic to all the people playing so its created in the same spot

Yea, its a real annoying problem, I think you need another computer to host (i.e. Host can't play on same comp)

Its beacuse you need to run the server, then run the client, then connect to yourself and send the game header Hope this clears things up. I advise getting VC and using the MTA for that, its much better and you get the coolness of VC too

If you want to convert bmp to jpg an easy way would be to use PHP to do it, I prefer PNG images to JPG's anyday, they are about the same size and have much better quality. (Except for photos, JPG own them anyday)

Maybe you have StatLogging off. Ensure that the line reads: StatLogging 1 and not StatLogging 0

I reckon that there should be a scripting language for MTA so we can make our own gametypes
