If you tried going into test mode through the editor then unfortunately that is bugged right now, you must stop the editor and start the race map manually (/gamemode race race-yourmapname) to be able to test your map.

A black screen could mean that the server has no script running which spawns you, make sure your sa-mp gamemode running through amx is running and working properly.

Crashes are cause by certain things MTA loads which would be buggy, the reason you crash more in Valhalla is because Valhalla is using functions which crash MTA more than the ones race uses. These crashes are normal, in the sense that it's not your fault. If possible report these crashes (separate each different crash in each report) on the bug tracker. Note that you must be logged in to your Community account, if you don't have one register and use it to login. Then switch 'projects', which is at the top right of the page, to 'new issues' and click 'Report Issue' to report these crashes you are having. Remember to describe when and what you were doing at the time this crashed happened and upload the dumps which can be found in your MTA installation directory (\MTA San Andreas\MTA\dumps). Unfortunately the growth in features of MTA has also introduced new bugs and various crashes, your contribution can help in fixing these crashes.

That is exactly true, lots of people that nagged about 1.0 never bothered to test the Nightlys and give feedback, all people want to do is play.

Maybe he was storing some save games in his installation folder, I have no idea but this thread has no point in it, should be closed in my opinion.

You probably messed up the short cuts by installing them both on top of each other, either set up the short cuts for the start-up menu/desktop manually or go to MTA's installation folder to start it.

This is also a known issue in MTA.

Signatures have their good too, like someone can use a signature to find some small work by writing scripts for people and getting paid or promoting their community.

Nope, I've heard this problem multiple times but as Talidan said this was fixed quite a while ago.

Did you all try connecting to a server manually be using www.game-monitor-com?

Race is compatible with XP so you should be fine though I'd suggest using 1.0 since most of the race community has migrated.

I wouldn't suggest going through the hassle since single player doesn't crash. You mentioned that not all servers crashed, were the ones that crashed running the same script? (example:freeroam)

Could you include some more feedback like your OS, MTA version and so on?

MrJax fixed it for 1.0.1.

Does MTA just freeze after ~30minutes and you wont be able to terminate the program ending up in rebooting your PC? Cause that's what is happening to me in 1.0-final.

There are many random crashes which unfortunately were not fixed for 1.0

Well the 'MRGreen' server has quite a lot of bandwidth issues, maybe that is the problem. Ask other players in the server to see if they get any similar client freezes.

I would suggest updating your drivers, there could be a memory leak.

Anything would be "nice". You can always code a patch if you think it's necessary.
