it depends on what server your going on and your connection speed, unless the download just stop and doesn't move after 5mins or so. If you want to know your connection speed, try this site: http://www.speedtest.net

did you try typing in the name of the saved map in the open window?

the map should automatically save it in your server directory: Example: MTA San Andreas 1.x/server/mod/deathmatch/resources then in there you should find your map by the name.
