Blizzard Entertainment took 10 years, but finally brought back the StarCraft game series, and you guys are breaking 5 years already. Don't pull a Blizzard...bring back MTA for GTA: VC and GTA 3! Your fans are begging for it! If you open source, they will update...! If you update, they will play...!

We all know MTA was on t.v., but what about Slashdot? Yep! Impress the gamers and let them relive the good times. If not, at least let your fans have a way to do that themselves by open-sourcing the older GTA 3/VC (0.5/0.6/Blue) versions, just like you did with MTA:SA. It's only fair... *Sigh*... Open-sourced or not, it would first be ported to the new core and I doubt they have the time. Unless someone else would know how to do it. We've actually had many people suggesting that idea that can actually do it... Please MTA Team, please...bring it back! People are begging for this, and I can say for a fact now that atleast one VERY LARGE RPG community would love to have a GTA 3 server possible in the near future...

Well what about syncing the clients' sets to ones defined by the server? That way their lag to the server would define the sync, which is pretty much how everything works at the moment with any multiplayer client.

That's why I'm begging that GTA3MTA/MTA:VC be either open-sourced so we can update it, or let them actually do something about this. Even if they are busy right now, why not make an additional team to handle GTA3MTA/MTA:VC? I've suggested it before but everyone is too afraid of losing their credit to a project they gave up on years ago...

Not sure what you mean about gangs specifically, but if you are looking for a VC/SA RP community I can tell you one if you PM me. Each server has it's own user-run gangs if that's what you had in mind.

The All-Seeing Eye Browser has been shut down by Yahoo!. It's not going to show up in the list at all if/until the MTA team updates the application. For the connection issue, make sure your software and hardware firewalls on your client and server computers aren't blocking MTA. Next, make sure you are giving users your public IP to the server, not your local/network one. 192.168.*.*, 10.0.*.*, and 127.0.0.1 (localhost) are local/network IP's, not public ones.
