  1. You shoudent have to register now, as the vote in the sidebar of the site (http://www.potholestudios.com) should be voteable by anonamus users now... (can you test it mate and tell me if it is or not) cos if it isnt, i will add one here.
  2. Simple, i want to have races with no repairs... so its more skill, (give incentive not to crash into stuff) the repair points are that close because you usually cant avoid a little start line incedent... Also another thing to give incentive on Not damaging the car is a 2 minute respawn time. ============= And i just completed Stage 4.... http://files.potholestudios.com/dazzajay/mta/bigrace/Stage-4.jpg :::EDIT::: I moved the vote to the Side Bar on the site, and made it so Anonamus users can vote init.
  3. Well, im thinking of setting up a small championship soon, i allready have some ideas on it, Basically, it will be Either 6 or 7 Stages that will be roughly 10 minutes long each, with a 2 minute break in between stages (For more coffee n stuff like that) We have decided that the first one will be a RWD championship, but we still havent picked the best car for that, there is a Vote going Here: http://www.potholestudios.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=189.html to select the RWD car that will be used. I have allready made Maps for Stage 1, 2 and 3, i have also made an image of these maps, to show where the races will go.... (Picts are too big for this forum, so ive placed clickys.) http://files.potholestudios.com/dazzajay/mta/bigrace/Stage-1.jpg http://files.potholestudios.com/dazzajay/mta/bigrace/Stage-2.jpg http://files.potholestudios.com/dazzajay/mta/bigrace/Stage-3.jpg 3 to 4 more stages to come, And at the end of it all, the winners will be listed in the Hall of Fame (or whatever we name it by the cmapionship) Any ideas? The official Forum thread for this is located here: http://www.potholestudios.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=184.html
  4. I dont see why you should pay $400 for a XP DOWNGRADE! i am never switching to a operating system that Pourposeley downgrades the video output of DVI sockets, and Makes the SPDIF socket almost worthless.
  5. lol yes u can laugh Toady, u put ur name to it, u are one of the creators! for all we know, u wrote that part of the script Lol.
  6. All i see is... Code... with the ! commands that you type to get it to do stuff....
  7. AH, ben was telling me about that little config app when we were giving your script a go a while back (when the Mirc scripts was running on his PC) Since it cant do Doubble-Digits, 1~9 should be fine.... (Scripts now run on my Old PC.... Yeah.... Old Crappy.... 1GHZ PC with 2X 64MB ram sticks.... Ugh... Well, its doing that job fine.... so it has a use.)
  8. Ah, okies then... not too hard im guessing?
  9. Cool, thanks... Well, this is a section out of gus, and im mainly wanting to keep it very simmilar to this... elseif ($3 == !commands) || ($3 == !command) { if ($gus.level($1,$2) == 3) { mta.pm $1 $2 Level 3 Commands: !un/freeze, !getip, !changemap, !sub/alias, !pma, !level, !info, !upload, !ping, !popular mta.pm $1 $2 !popular, !stats, !admin, !top, !toptime, !max, !rating, !voterace } elseif ($gus.level($1,$2) == 4) { mta.pm $1 $2 Level 4 Commands: !un/freeze, !getip, !changemap, !sub/alias, !pma, !level, !info, !upload, !ping, !popular mta.pm $1 $2 !popular, !stats, !un/mute, !ip, !admin, !top, !toptime, !max, !rating, !voterace } elseif ($gus.level($1,$2) == 5) { mta.pm $1 $2 Level 5 Commands: !un/freeze, !getip, !changemap, !sub/alias, !pma, !level, !info, !upload, !ping, !popular mta.pm $1 $2 !tommis, !popular, !stats, !un/mute, !ip, !kick, !setinstructions, !admin, !setdeathlimit, !spawn, !top !.timer 1 5 mta.pm $1 $2 !toptime, !remdeathlimit, !resettime, !randommap, !max, !rating, !voterace } elseif ($gus.level($1,$2) == 6) { mta.pm $1 $2 Level 6 Commands: !un/freeze, !getip, !changemap, !sub/alias, !pma, !level, !info, !upload, !ping, !popular mta.pm $1 $2 !tommis, !popular, !stats, !un/mute, !ip, !kick, !setinstructions, !admin, !setdeathlimit, !spawn, !top !.timer 1 5 mta.pm $1 $2 !toptime, !remdeathlimit, !resettime, !randommap, !max, !rating, !voterace } elseif ($gus.level($1,$2) == 7) { mta.pm $1 $2 Level 7 Commands: !un/freeze, !getip, !changemap, !sub/alias, !pma, !level, !info, !upload, !ping, !popular mta.pm $1 $2 !popular, !stats, !un/mute, !kick, !ip, !setinstructions, !add/ban, !unban, !admin, !recon, !reload !.timer 1 5 mta.pm $1 $2 !setdeathlimit, !spawn, !top, !toptime, !remdeathlimit, !resettime, !randommap, !max, !rating, !voterace } elseif ($gus.level($1,$2) == || ($gus.level($1,$2) == 9) { mta.pm $1 $2 Level $gus.level($1,$2) Commands: !un/freeze, !getip, !changemap, !sub/alias, !pma, !level, !info, !upload, !ping, !popular mta.pm $1 $2 !popular, !stats, !un/mute, !ip, !kick, !setinstructions, !add/ban, !unban, !admin, !recon, !reload, !rating !.timer 1 5 mta.pm $1 $2 !setdeathlimit, !spawn, !top, !toptime, !remdeathlimit, !resettime, !randommap, !setping, !max, !voterace } elseif ($gus.level($1,$2) >= 10) { mta.pm $1 $2 Level 10 Commands: !un/freeze, !getip, !changemap, !sub/alias, !pma, !level, !info, !upload, !ping, !popular mta.pm $1 $2 !setping, !popular, !stats, !un/mute, !ip, !kick, !setinstructions, !ban, !unban, !setlevel, !setwelcomemsg !.timer 1 5 mta.pm $1 $2 !max, !recon, !reload , !addban, !set/remdeathlimit, !spawn, !top, !toptime, !randommap, !settime !.timer 1 10 mta.pm $1 $2 !rating, !voterace, !remmap } else { mta.pm $1 $2 Commands: !info, !popular, !level, !upload, !ping, !stats, !admins, !toptime, !top mta.pm $1 $2 !max, !voterace, !rating (i think thats the !commands command... but yeah, thats how i would like to keep it... along those lines.
  10. Ah, okies.... i would need some information to help me thru the setup of the 10 levels tho... as im still an Uber Noobie on the ol Mirc side of things.
  11. Yeah, but with the 5 thru Rcon, it involves taking forever thru SFTP Using SSH2 to login and change the admins file to use Rcon mainly because Latency has a dramatic effect on SSH2, basically, my 300~MS ping to the server makes it take 2~3 mins to load one folder in the FTP, so even to upload 1 map, it takes around 10 to 15 mins for me.... which is one of the other reasons why i dont wanna have to use Rcon. and yeah, just the first 2 Octets would be fine, i wouldn't want to go any less than that, Thanks
  12. Wel, 2 of the admins do have Dynamic IP's, altho one of them is perfectly fine, only the last 2 octets change, But Grim_Reeper is on Crappy Telstra Wireless, and ALL 4 Octets of his IP change, but he said he will be getting a Static IP soon, so its all good. The main reason we like the 10 levels is basically, New Admins are given Lvl 1, then slowly over time they get Promoted thru the levels, the highest being 9.... Works well in Limiting the amount of Monkeys that Abuse thier power... cos they usually dont have the Paitience to wait till lvl 9.
  13. Scooby: Basically, the 10 level admin system in Gus (wich i have never had a problem with, not even with Dynamic IP) Wich is the only reason why we are using it, and not PRS. and Lil'San: My knowlage of scripting is still in excessive guesswork, altho i did guess correct about changing the score system in the points script.... but thats about it.
  14. Hrmmm, i didnt think if it that way, any ideas on what to look for?
  15. Oh well, guess iil have to make do with what i have got.
  16. One really quick question, as this looks very familiar... (i think we have used these before) Is there 10 levels of admin like in the Gus script? Because i think we had your ones before and had to use Rcon to log in to admin... wich is the main reason why we didnt end up using them.
  17. well, when i was searching around a few months ago, this one was the best to suit what i mainly wanted. but yeah, iil have a look at yer script. (if i cant find it, iil post back here tomorow) (the forums search here is completly useless... i was searching for a money script before i figured it would be eaiaier to use the points script... my god, i found like, everything BUT what i was looking for.)
  18. Oh, ben just asked me: "What about a !toppoints & !topscore command, that when used, shows the 3 highest scoring people's names and thier scores." im guessing that would be a tricky one to make tho.
  19. Nope, just a stock Gus, Auto Namekick script (i got bored of telling "Player" to change his name) and the points script as listed in my previous post.
  20. i just remembered another OS i once used.... the Commodore 64 one. i had 2 Commodore 64's they were Awesome before i got my 486DX (first tower PC)
  21. Lets just call that the end of that. and HOPE that it does not continue. Now, lets all get back to topic, which is: What is your Favorite OS. Not Bash the crap out of every OS that you don't like. So lets put the topic back to that.
  22. HAHAHA, Nice. alltho the guy on the right.... he looks funnier in the ORIGINAL photo he was wearing that helmut and a Yellow suit with Blue Lightstrips around... and the title was "Dont worry Ma'am, i'm from the internet! that image would have been better if he was in his original suit. altho, its funny on its own.
  23. Ah SLAX.... Runs off a Bootable CD, Fluxbox / KDE GUI, Yes, KDE is known to be Slower, but running from a CD it then becomes Amazingly Slow. As for Network / Internet, that's piss easy. you just have to know all the Manual settings, which aren't hard to find out. and that's about it really. The Good thing about "Live CD" Linux's is you don't have to format to use it. The only thing about "live CD's" thats any good is the fact that you can "try before you format" They are good for finding out which distro suits you.
  24. Lol, what Distro was it? and if you couldent get it to connect to the internet, have you never set up a network manually before? Slow eh? thats either because of the PC's speed, or the Distro itself, or how the Distro was set up.
