Did you Re-install EVERYTHING? delete any mods etc, Are you using version 1.0 exe?

You wont want all of them, Many of them you wont like, Try doing what i do and set the Rss feed to only dowload maps with 4 or more stars, Thatway my server only has Kick Arse maps

Thanks for that lmn8r, the figures seem very interesting. For the time being it seems very expensive around here to host the server in a Data centre but i will continue to make enquiries to find out the cost. I think a Linux server would be the way to go cos the server really tends to hammer the cpu usage on my poor old PII!!! No matter, Again thanks very much. If other server owners could post statistics that would be great. I would be curious to see the figures on a max player windows server

So what is it

Im new to this whole scripting thing and have no experience what so ever in doing any of it. I would really like to get the script working on my MTA SA server but the whole thing has really confused my brain to the max. Would somebody be able to post a step by step guide to the latest version for people like me? And then it could maby get pinned so other new people don’t have to search as hard? Sorry if this seems like spam but i am really stuck here and have never come across anything like this before. Thanks in advance

Hi people, The home server that i host here in Australia has been so busy and so successful that I would like to make it a high speed dedicated 32 player machine in a data centre, Trouble is i can not find any specs relating to the amount of Data used per player, how much CPU usage and other information so i can make enquiries, Hopefully with your help we can make this one of the main MTA servers in Australia? I need as much info as possible; just a link to a section on the site where i can find the info would be much appreciated!! Thanks

Unfortunaly i can not come up with any other solutions. I wish i could but i don’t have the remarkable skills that you people have. I was not trying to start a flame war!! I was just commenting on how the frame limiter can be annoying at times but if it is the best way to equal things out, well so be it You people would know better that me but please don’t take my post personally!! At 20 years of age i have been working for about 3.5 years now as well and i have only ever bought 2 computer systems. The 1st was a crappy old Pentium II (which is the computer that hosts my MTA server) that cost me 200 Australian bucks and i suppose that’s about $170 American and i then bought a second hand Pentium IV and upgraded the graphics card all up costing about 550 Australian bucks and i suppose that would be about $470 to $500 American. There is no way that i would spend a s*** load of money on a computer!! Believe me!! The only thing i really wanted was a good car which i got. I will be getting ready to buy an investment property soon once i get established as a good Real Estate Sales person. But i think i have touched on a subject i should have left alone and kept to myself so im sorry if i have upset anybody. Again MTA team thankyou for the best Multiplayer Mod of 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006!! PS MTA does leave alot of commercial games for dead. I don’t think Rockstar Games will ever understand that Multiplayer is what we want!!

Like i said before. People like us that work very hard to get good computers should not have to suffer because there are other people out there running bad hardware. You won’t see any commercial games like that

If your computer can only manage 20 FPS then MTA upping the frame limiter to 30 FPS wouldn't have any effect for you, you would still be going at 20. All i know is when i run GTA SA in single player the game FLYS. With MTA SA this frame limiter thing is really annoying. The same thing used to happen with MTA 0.5 GTA VC used to fly in single player but in MTA it ran much slower. When VC-MP came out they did not use this frame rate limiter and it worked PERFECT. I think what ever this thing is that limits the frame rate needs to be disabled because it seems to me as if it does more bad than good. I have a P IV computer with an ATI 9600XT so there is nothing wrong with the Hardware It should be up to the computer user to have a computer that is good enough to cope with modern software rather than spoil the fun of the game for all players. I can’t think of any commercial games that has anything like this that you can not turn off. But that’s just my opinion. Thanks for such a cool mod MTA!!

I agree with what Random guy is saying. It’s almost like the whole game is somehow slowed down? MTA 0.5 was the same. And yes the game fly’s for me in single player with all the settings turned up but when im even connected to my own server and playing with 3 people that have pings less than 50 the whole game seems to slow down? One of the things i noticed with VC-MP over MTA 0.5 was that VC-MP was like single player with everything going at normal speed and the sync was real precise. I was hoping that MTA SA would have this problem solved but it still happens. Also the counter steering in the cars seems to be harder to control than the single player? Not that im making any criticism i was wondering if there might be something i was doing wrong?

Yes i have the same problem. My RSS feed has downloaded new maps to the map folder in my server and they are not appearing in the game or on the remote admin console

Hi ppl In the MTA center when I click on the RSS Feeds button all I get is a blank screen, When I do a race search and click the button that says add map to Rss feed again all I get is a blank screen. Is there something im doing wrong?

Then all i can suggest is that you contact somebody in your area who understands these sort of things to come out and give you a hand
