  1. ... ZZzzzzzzzzz Hey, at least he can defend his position with a fair argument. You're just being a flaming cuntwisp. Leave now, kthxbai.
  2. GIGGLEPIES /me watches MAD_BOY pull out the bancannon
  3. An IP check by the mods can determine that. Gigglepies!
  4. I remember me and you talked about this before, but I still have questions. Are you implying that your long wait is justification for your lack of support towards the MTA team? We all have waited, just like you Rob. Hey Paul, I'd be happy to answer. The "justification" for my lack of support, is that when I supported them before, and I stayed loyal to MTA, and did not support other mods (IE: Rumble, GTA:T) [as did the rest of the community] we {or at least I} thought that loyalty would lead to them listening to the community that supported them; which asked that they deliver something we could use, until the time came for an "improvement" release. For these kinds of local-e-community mods, a commercial style "Mostly-Bug-Proofed" release is very impractical, in my opinion, because the community isn't strong enough to last [as we have seen] the waiting period it takes for the work to pay off, in the form of a relatively solid release. Meanwhile; other mods (which will go unmentioned, to prevent fanflaming) have been gaining community members and loyal players, because they delivered what the community wanted; and meanwhile they've been improving what they have to provide a more stable, bugproofed mod as well. I'm not saying that the long wait is justifying my anger, I'm saying that when my support and loyalty went unrewarded, I lost interest in supporting the mod. Does that clear up the question?
  5. Once you've spent two years waiting, you can criticize my response. Untill then, get the fuck out. Because you're in no position to judge the rashness of my feelings when you yourself can't be put in my shoes. Then i can? I've been waiting since the release of race, and i've played MTA:GTA3 too...So guess what Go ahead then.

  7. The old forum was phpBB 2.x This is phpBB 3.x (still beta I believe). The reason there aren't as many features anymore is because those were phpBB 2.x mods which are not compatible with phpBB 3.x (yet). /me pokes Jani
  8. Great to see we're spending time updating forums. Good thing we don't have anything more important to do like release that mod we started on two years ago Zzzzzz ¬.¬
  9. A lot of the current testers were recruited from the community, some weren't even forum mods. If you guys want to get the bugs out [or at least find out how truly stable it is] you ought to do a full blown alpha release, and let the creative server scripters / owners run it ragged, finding every possible problem they can with every possible feature. This is the one thing I'll never understand, why you guys couldn't do a .01a release solely for the purpose of testing stability. More testing more stuff being tested more issues (if any) being found more stuff making itself obvious, so you guys know exactly how stable it is. ...
  10. They're still in the alpha phase. ... Rifk @ Semi-Public tests too. Haven't we been semi-publicly been testing it for over a year now? [QA Team, selected of "worthy" individuals from the community?] /me continues to wait. Zzzzzz.....

We've been barking up that tree for over two years bud. Lost my faith a long time ago, and it'll take an epic-sized-pulling-of-the-rabbit-from-the-arse for me to get it back. ZZZzzzzzz.....

You do realize that by stating that in public you lose the ability to play that card, right? Sigh. You kids will be the death of me. For some reason someone wants this topic not locked, but since I'm such an asshole, I'll lock it anyways if (or should I say 'when') someone decides to keep on any sort of flaming, and ban/warn the poster, taking only my mood at the time as a factor. Take a look at my response to Pauls message! o:
  15. Meh... I like (and actually use the most) Windows. Easiest to pirate, easiest to set up, and pretty much everything is built to work with it. I hope someday that linux will overtake Winblows; but for the time being, I think it's a necessary evil I've learned to live with.

There is a good possibility, in my opinion, that some will move from SA-MP to MTA; but it depends on which mod delivers the better experience at the time. I also agree; it's virtually impossible to measure the community's size, but I think there's really no question, the bustling action we used to see in the MTA .3 - .4 days has definitely left; and with it left a group of players whom I doubt we'll ever see again. That's what I meant, when I said "What it's cost us" -- The loss of a great community; among other things. ... I love you

Paul and I weren't bitching; AlienX. We discussed what we had to talk about perfectly logically, and with a certain level of respect. Also, I'd watch out who you threaten to have banned, considering I could pull seniority on you. If you want to ban someone for being a bitchy readheaded stepchild; go after ERock. And by the way bud; I didn't even bother reading your post, it was clearly more dramatic bullshit, which I'm disinclined to participate in.
