  6. Are you in the Admin ACL group? If not, open acl.xml and search for the group admin, then add your username like this: <object name="user.USERNAME"></object> If you don't have a user account registered on your server yet, create one with /register [on the server] or use 'addaccount' command in the server console. Alternatively, you can also use MTA functions to put yourself in the admin group with aclGroupAddObject and this way you don't have to restart the server. Once you added your account to the ACL group, all you have to do is login and you will be able to use commands like: /restart /refresh /stop /start etc... Then you will be able to bind commands like "/restart resource"

  9. that's a good idea but i have this way: string.gsub ("letter45", "%D", "") -- result: 45 it returns the numbers only but if i entered one of these methods: (+ - * /) it removes them too .. so .. i made this function .. i think it's good now to use it like this way .. function filterMath (text) local result = string.gsub (text, "[A-Za-z-[%]-{%}%'<>?:;!@#$^&()=]", "") local equation = loadstring ("return " .. result) if (equation) then return equation () else return "No Results" end end

  10. It took me a second to realise that they weren't your words, and you were quoting someone. Numerical incremental loops (for i = 1, 100 do, while i < 100 do) are generally speaking the fastest. For tables with numerical indexes larger than 100 items, pairs was faster than ipairs, but lower than 100 ipairs was faster. And when it comes to tables with non-perfect keys (strings, not sequential, etc) pairs is the only way to go. @John Smith, you can't really say it's X amount faster without providing context to that answer. How big was the table? Were you running any operations within the loop? As I said in the last paragraph, it all depends on what you're doing. It really comes down to what you're doing. In most other languages, there are arrays, which have numerical indexes and there are lists, which can have non-numerical indexes. Terminology differs between language, but you get what I mean. Each has a different use scenario. However, in Lua, we're given just a table, which can be seen both as a curse and as a blessing. We can use numerical indexes and treat tables like an array, or use non-numerical indexes and treat tables like a list, or we can do both! Personally, I don't usually iterate over tables with non-numerical indexes unless I have to. I prefer to use my tables (with non-numerical indexes) as a lookup, as opposed to something that needs to be iterated over. This guy has no idea what he's talking about. I mean, he says "medium scripter". What the hell is that supposed to mean? He's most likely just read some statistics on a StackOverflow answer and is going around parading his newfound knowledge. This isn't a black and white issue and really depends on what you want to achieve.   13. I'm sorry, but i don't think there's anything like that. Also note that restarting a resource like you said will cause (obviously) the resource stop, and what about if the resource was doing something??? think about a "mission" resource, a player is in that mission and then.... the resource get restarted. No more mission... it's sad I think that having to do it manually is the best option available. Remember also that there are other ways to restart a resource other than from the server console: using the commands from an admin account, like /refresh and /restart someResource or with other resources like the admin panel

  14. What do you mean? if you mean functions to access files, then they do exist: they are the file functions Edit: do you mean something like https://msdn.microsoft.com/it-it/library/system.io.filesystemwatcher(v=vs.110).aspx? So an event that get riggered when a file/directory gets an edit?

  16. There is no reason to run MTA with different limit adjustments. Thus, easiest way would be to max out all (necessary) limits and run MTA with this configuration instead of making things more complex than they should be.

  17. You've been banned from a specific server therefore that specific server staff needs to handle your ban appeal. MTA:SA team is in no way related to it nor can your serial be changed.

  19. I released a MTA version back in January of this year that was compatible with FLA. The only limit that was not resolved was the ID limit relating to the 16 bit limit(IDs couldnt be over 32767). I am currently working on a new version and with Fastmans help we were able to resolve the 16 bit limit(FLA 4.1+). Based on experience making the standard MTA code compatible with FLA was rather easy, it mostly included changing hard-coded values(addresses usually) to dynamic ones as suggested by Fastman.
