unhandled exeption

I read a lot of topics about that but I did'nt find anything when I'm starting the game it is saying unhandled exeption c0000005.

I'm using a patched version of gta vice city so the version is 1.1 and it is the french version of vice city so I thaugh it was ok for mta.

Can someone help me please?

I´ve got the same problem...

i´ve done everything which all told me and which i´ve found here, but it still dont works. i´ve copyed the langage files, i´ve put GTA VC into english...i´ve installed the patch 1.1 for VC.....

the game is starting but after a little time...when the rockstarlogo disappears the game ends.

please could somebody help me....please!!

but GTA3 works fine after i patched it to V1.1

HOMEBOY87: to fix your problem, copy all the gxt files from the gtavc\TEXT folder except the american.gxt and put them in the gtavc\MTA folder

YOU ARE ALL USING THE GERMAN EXE, WHICH MTA WON'T WORK WITH.

In other words, you need the American exe.

Explain how i helped HOMEBOY87 fix his problem. He seems to be using a german version.
