Just saw the update to 0.5.1... looks good, hope it plays as well as it looks.

gtavc converted to gta3s system, its an improvement methinks. i like the fact that they brought back the spaz, its about time. i also like the ssv spawn system and im glad they got it in.

as far as guns go, i really do hope they didnt bring out the nerf stick and instead brought up the guns to all be useful. time will tell on that tho as i havent seen or heard of it

im not looking forward to seeing the short grenade animation return. i hope they do away with it. it looks like hes on crack when he throws it...

itd also be nice if they forced you to switch weapons after throwing a nade. it should fix the running glitch, but thats been discused.

overall 0.5.1 is going to come down not to the features, but how it plays. the devs are smart guys, im hoping they dont skimp anything over and actually get the release right, if this release bombs, well then all there will really be to look forward to is blue which last time i checked we dont even have a generalized eta on yet

i can wait personally, mainly due to wow. if you dont have it, get it 8) havent touched 0.5 in weeks, its probably the first version of mta iv ever hated playing. the stubby was brought up and nerfed at the same time, jumping removed (dont really care really, as i still jump right after i switch back, as anyone who fought me will testify to. it was a technique for me not an abuse of a glitch, and the fact that i still do it pretty much shows that, im sure im not the only one who still jumps either). and instead they brought back the old switch right after you shoot system... its laughable. but as long as crouching is in i hope the switch after you shoot system remains in to, or i wont even touch it because i refuse to be forced to glitch to compete.

i really hope you dont bomb this release... or you might want to think about creating a steam like content system so that you can update 0.5.1 frequently to resolve any known issues. the current system of issue now fix 9 months later is insane. i can understand bandwidth, but i cant see how difficult it would be to code a app that will deliver to us and install any .dlls automatically. *shrug* but of course im not a programer, so it could easily be harder then i thought.

gl mta team, if this release bombs your going to want to consider releasing alot more info on blue then what is out now

I like the whole SSV system this is good and it would make VC alot more fun just like it did GTA3...

For gameplay return the stubby back to .4 style, enhance the range weapons damage and give us more ammo for them...

Making range weapons usefull will make the gameplay more enjoyable...Effective range weapons will limit stubby use...No need to deduct damage that was clearly the wrong path...

If the mod can be made less laggy and more sync that would be great also but i doubt that will happen anytime soon...

Anyways I hope 0.5.1 doesnt bomb like every other version after 0.3.1...

The whole steam thing has advantages and disadvantages.. people will be more confused because the documentation will always be updating and changing. When a release comes out you usually see a change to everything in the community. It would be a nice system but they do release critical updates if necessary (like radar), but right now .5 is a good version that works, no gigantic problems people face all the time. So I guess it can wait... I don't know how much longer till the patch but hopefully within a month.
