orappa
Microsoft have released the first beta of their anti-spyware tool. It offers comprehensive scanning of running processes, files, registry keys and cookies. It also offers real-time protection against spyware and unauthorised changes to system settings. It's surprisingly good actually, and found spyware that Spybot didn't even notice. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en Link to comment

orappa
MS didn't make it ... They just bought the company that did and relabeled it as Microsoft Software. Yeah... Giant Software or something like that. That probably explains why it's good then. Link to comment
paul527
Its the best anti-spyware software i have ever used does the fact that it is distributed by microsoft, mean that its the best for microsoft? Link to comment
orappa
does the fact that it is distributed by microsoft, mean that its the best for microsoft? Do you mean is it the best for Windows? Well, MS certainly want you to believe that. I personally believe that no spyware at all is far better than a tool to remove it, however effective this tool may be. Link to comment
Leviathan
more than half a year later paul bumped the topic Yeah I really like MSASB myself and I've been using it for a while now. Link to comment
paul527
I agree with Jon, NO spyware is better than having spyware, even when you have the tools to remove them. But i think spyware is just part of (internet) life, and we have to deal with it, just like with viruses and such. Leviathan, when did MSASB first come out? i cant remeber Link to comment
