It's like managed and unmanaged hosting.

Managed means you get full support. You don't need to do much anything.

Unmanaged means you get no support. You need to do everything yourself.

It depends if you want to do things yourself, or if you even know how. Usually unmanaged hosting is significantly cheaper because you do everything yourself.

@myonlake, what's related between uptime and support? I guess you gave weird example.

ON-TOPIC:

Hosted will get you support and 24/7 uptime, you won't need to keep your PC on the whole day, also you won't have to worry about ping, because if you tried to download something using your own PC (unhosted) your players will suffer bad time-outs.

If you don't want to try your luck with the hosted, you can start your own server using your PC until it gets players then you can switch to the hosted one.

No. Unmanaged and managed hosting are not in any way related to your personal computer. Those two terms mark what kind of services you are ordering from a host. A host can either provide managed or unmanaged hosting, usually the latter, but there are some large companies that offer managed hosting, so they set everything up for you.

It has nothing to do with uptime. Uptime is always 24/7 with servers and personal computers alike unless you shut them down. And yes, you can host a server on your personal computer and have 100 players playing on it if you feel like it. It doesn't eat that much internet connection, as long as you have no traffic limits.

My Plan for my Server was to Start A Server Unhosted Then... After Time .. Ill buy a Host!

Do you mean, you want to Host a server from your Computer by openning ports? If that what you mean, it will cause lags 2nd thing, Downloading client folders gonna be too slow and also you can't let your Computer online 24/7 like host's job for sure.
