.:HyPeX:. Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Well, my question is quite simple, how can i recreate in MTA the background of this panel? (It is photoshopped). And aswell how to recreate the effects of pretty much everything else. I thought about an image as an easy one... but there might be a better method. Moderators IIYAMA Posted January 8, 2015 Moderators Posted January 8, 2015 Ever heard of the term responsive website? Since the new function DownloadFile has been released, you are able to make easy responsive content. Images are the key to custom effects. https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/DownloadFile Tip:(what you also can do) If you want create nice buttons which you want to resize, you may consider to create a gradient which is: 1 pixel width and 32* pixels height. You probably have to skip the round corners for this. IMAGE * just how good the quality must be. When you stretch the image.(forum doesn't allow it, so I copy past it a few times.) Gallardo9944 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Images are the only good choice for now. You can use rectangles if you don't need gradients and rounding though. But drawing 1 big thing is always better than 10 smaller ones. Code Debugger - Minimalistic MTA debug line replacement
Moderators IIYAMA Posted January 8, 2015 Moderators Posted January 8, 2015 I said that the mta forum doesn't allow stretching, that doesn't mean mta can't stretch images. 1 super small image is better then 1 big images, with the same result. Read it better next time. Do you want to improve your Lua programming skills and make less mistakes? Start with Lua Language Server! ixjf Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Another alternative is to use a pixel shader to draw rounded rectangles, but although that may yield better results when resized, it takes a lot more effort. I used to know how to code, but then I took an arrow in the knee. Project Redivivus - Remaking Old School MTA With New Code MTA 0.6 Nightly 1 released
