I dont think so that there will be MTA IV soon because GTA IV already got multiplayer( if I am not wrong).

it would be better to wait for GTA V's PC release, and then start working on MTA V instead of mta IV

MTA IV, better known as Orange has been cancelled due to the issues that developers came across (As you probably know already, GTA IV is quite unstable when it comes to modding). There is, however, one multiplayer mod being developed for it called Multi IV, you should look it up.

As of today Orange is not in active development and there're no plans to work on it in the near future.

With GTA V being released on PC on next January it's very unlikely we'd get back to IV, but anything can happen.

Meanwhile feel free to check the Orange video at mtaqa's youtube channel.

Any GTA IV disc should just be placed in its original case and never reopened.

Considering how much work has been put into MTA SA over the last ~8 years, I think even 'MTA V' should be a gradual and low-priority transition. San Andreas may not have the best graphics or the most native features, but MTA can more than compensate for that.

Moreover, in 2-3 years time there will probably be another latest and greatest GTA that everybody wants MTA to be ported to.

It is massive and impossibly complex most of it would need to be redone for MTA IV. It would only ever happen with GTA 5 and that has been planed by the guys who made the mafia 2 multiplayer.

mabako (now cat) had done some work for IVMP, but that's dead. He's now one of the MultIV developers.
