Guest
Hi there. I can run the game server no problems, and people can connect to it. However, if I open the Server Admin Tool, I cannot connect to the server, and am always getting a "Connection Times Out" error. I will upload a screenshot of it to my website and put the image on here later if nobody knows why, but its very strange. With MTA 0.3 i could always connect via admin to the server, and it would be useful to have here to set a MOTD, kicks, bans, gametype etc. Cheers in advance for any help (Btw, I'm using 0.4, not 0.3) Link to comment

Si|ent
If you are running the server locally try 127.0.0.1 if its on the same machine as admin, or the LAN IP if its on a networked machine. Link to comment
Guest
ive now heard i should be putting the port as 2003.. the same as game port. i have to edit the cfg file or summat. so question being... what would i put in? random numbers? Link to comment
Si|ent
Its really quite simple, either open the config in notepad and read the commenting, or use the admintool, read the readme.txt that came with the server, check the faq, the support board. The instructions are all over the place, from basic to extra simple for the hard of intelligence. Surely it takes less time and effort to read the doc's than to register and post on a forum?
