SM xenex Posted July 4, 2004 Posted July 4, 2004 Thats probably a videocard issue some videocard drivers have the tendecy to reboot ( or give you the bsod) when you have them installed, what videocard does he have , i heard that ati cards have probs with gta/mta.
Posty Posted July 4, 2004 Posted July 4, 2004 Yep, he needs to update his ATI drivers to the latest version. Its the only known problem that could make that happen.
Icy_Flare Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Posty how do u know for sure if he has the ATi video cards
eAi Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Because this bug only happens on ATI Radeons with out of date video drivers. eAi
orappa Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 The ATI drivers cause an exception error. This causes XP to helpfully reboot so that you can't see the message. (If you want to switch this off, go to Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced. Click on Settings under Startup and Recovery and deselect Automatically Restart under the System Failure section)
xerox Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 haha - when a game starts crashing, the soultion is to buy new hardware.... every marketter's dream that one is =) check for drivers , as they fix most of ya problems with games, cause the games would have been made using the latest versions
