Start Game Problem

For some reson when i press start game (and i have joined a server) the screen just gose blue, its like it trys to load GTA but it gose blue and locks up NO CTRL ALT DEL nothing i have to restart everytime why? My copy is legit i borrowed it off a friend and it works perfect on his comp (Same CD's Legit copy everything) why for me dose it not work??

What OS do you have? 9x or NT based? (MTA only works on 2k/xp)

What graphics card do you have? (you need the latest drivers if you have an ATI radeon)

By blue do you mean a Blue Screen Of Death (with writing on?)

Are you talking about GTA3 or Vice City?

I think he ment , that he has the real official cd . and did not download it of some warez site .

and i think what HE meant, that if he barrowed it, from a friend, it is pirated, at least by legal standards, unfortunatly this is true

programs in nt don't normally summon the blue screen, so I betya hes tryin to run it on dirty old 9x hehe.

Anyhoot, i'm assuming thats the same sobeit that ran around with trainers on...yeah even if you're right, you're a bit late to hop on the goodguy bandwagon, ya think.

Its perfectly leagal to lend your cd to a friend, as long as it isn't installed on more than one computer at once.

The fact that he says "works" and not the past-tense "worked" leads me to believe that both are installed at once.

i think its legal to have it installed in both . but as long as he dosent use a no-cd patch to run on both pc at once . cause maybe his friend could come over to his house and bring the play cd ....

there is a known problem w/ the catalyst drivers for Radeon cards, update your drivers and all will be ok.
