Assembling a Scripting Team!

I am prospectively interested in putting together a roleplaying server. I've had nearly adecade of experience in these RP communities. Most of it being in MTA. After many years of waiting around for a proper community with a accomodating script to arrive (to no avail), I've decided to take matters into my own hands. Compensation negotiable of course!

Maybe some more information like:

-Tell us the details of the gamemode (what do you want in the gamemode)

-Do you have already made something for the gamemode (maps, scripts)

-Do we need script everything from scratch ( 0% to 100% ) or do we need to edit someone else his code?

-What are the payments (money, admin, nothing, "respect")

-Do you already have a team for the gamemode, let's say photoshoppers, mappers, webdesigners

So it would be better to make your text longer / answer these questions, because 3 lines of text isn't good enough for "requesting" the scripter(s), so tell us everything what you want.

Don't forget a decent DDoS protection, there's currently a never-ending DDoS war going on in the RP scene.

OVH Hosting offers free DDoS protection although you will need a creditcard to pay for a dedicated server because too many poor people were abusing OVH's payment system and kept claiming their money back through paypal.

-There are simply too many features that are needed to list them all here. We do however have a design document to guide development and what we want out of the gamemode. We desire many similar features of other RP gamemodes with just as many new approaches/features required.

-We want to approach this gamemode completely freshly. Tabula Rasa.

-Yes, like stated above this will be an entirely new gamemode. However, we have a script with many resources for reference.

-Like said in the OP, payment is entirely negotiable on a case-by-case basis.

-Other members of the staff shall be assembled once things are set in motion.

OVH is a joke. They cannot handle DDOS attacks and they kicked UnitedGaming off their network once UnitedGaming started getting them regularly. There are other better ways to migrate attacks.

Additionally, there are no serious roleplayers here any longer. I doubt it's a good idea to spend time on a server. A decade of experience is just the proof you need. Decade is a lot of time, and now times have changed.

O'i my brother there ain't no god in this world(sience ftw).

Anyways, myonlake is right there isn't a thing such as "DDoS Protection" nor anything what you can do about it (expect with some good networking like myonlake said, OR a good working brain).

Anways(again), there might be a change that there won't be a Roleplay server anymore ( don't expect this year nor next year) some servers which have scripts ripped from RG[RootGaming]/Valhalla(I miss those times). I hope that this roleplay war will stop, since there is no point being the "best" roleplay server of mta, like those people in that roleplay server will join your roleplay server. Anyways, the roleplaying these days are bad.

BTW; If you really want to play some good roleplay then make your own private freeroam server with password, and then play with your friends (if you have them), it's always fun with friends. (it's not 100% real life roleplay, but it's fun, and it's so much better because you know each other, you can even make some skype conversations while gaming to chat with each other, it may be a very other aspect than the rootgaming roleplay, but it's sometimes less frustrating, and funnier.)

Can you say exactly which resources you already have made and if it is from the Valhalla gamemode, or just downloaded from the community? (i'm asking these questions because someone might be interested in the forum later on, so that he doesn't need to ask everything), is there a change that you can post your To-Do list here?

It's going to be a totally new gamemode in theory.

We have some old scripts lying around for reference.

There is nothing yet made. We do have an overall vision and a development design document though.
