Death_Spectre
I have been playing MTA a lot recently on Optus cable with a 3gb dl limit. Am I gonna get a fat bill at the end of the month becuase I went over the limit? I only ask this beacuse of a post I saw where someone asked if people could afford to play MTA much beacuse you have to download a lot of Mb while you play every hour. I'm scared....I just hoped I haven't played it too much. I'm guessing i've played more than 20 hours in the last week (no wise guy stuff about me being addicted plz). Link to comment
Guest
lol 20 hours isnt addicted... just ask anyone about how i am if u run over they wont bill u more, theyl just cut u off for the month Link to comment
orappa
Is that 3GB a day, or 3GB a month? Link to comment
Pic0o
From the looks of the MTa Server workings, it's low on CPU useage, and all about eating and dishing out Bandwith. Since you have a bandwith cap, you may want to install some Bandiwth monitoring software on your server to make sure the 3GB cap is not exceeded. http://www.solarwinds.net/Tools/Network ... /index.htm For a General Looking app, I'm sure you can find better to meet your needs Link to comment

[KFC]KungFu
I am jealous really I would play 24 hours a day if I didn't have to crap sleep and work Sometimes all at the same time Link to comment
dystopia
lmao whenever i show someone MTA they always say "this sucks, it's all choppy and buggy....and i can't stop playing it! dammit!" lol and yeah a lot of companies do the same with bandwidth limits like cellphone companies do with overage time, they charge you like time and a half for the remainder of the billing period Link to comment
Death_Spectre
It's 3 GB a month so I better check how far throught it I am. Thanks for your help and comforting me about the idea of me being addicted. I'm really hooked on this game...I'd proberly go for unlimited dowloads if I thought my current limit would stop me playing! Link to comment
Guest
sounds like its time for a new ISP lol i download 3GB a month with my 56k connection Link to comment
dystopia
haha seriously, paying per mb/gb sucks, verizon would love ot do it to me and my server, but nanananana the agreement says unlimited ::sticks tongue out at verizon:: Link to comment
-UtopiA-
Why pay for an internet that limits your bandwidth? Seems like your losing twice on that deal.. $39.99/Month here with unlimited bandwidth. Link to comment
dystopia
all depends on location, people in spread out areas tend to pay per mb/gb such as australia. near urban places like dallas, houston, chicago in the states it's not that big of a deal to put in enough line to support such service. supply and demand i'm afraid Link to comment
Death_Spectre
Finally someone understands....unlimited cable internet isn't cheap in Australia. Most of you guys seem to think that I'm a tight arse or I WANT to have a download limit. Thanks for your help anyway...just hope downloading a bandwith measurer doesn't push me over the limit .
