I need to find ut which ports MTA use... Its for my router otherwise no body can connect... i ran a server an i could join it on my LAN ip... but then i tryed to join it with my public ip and it come up with connection timed out.... I am running the server myself and trying to join (whether thats the problem).... all i need to know is wot ports to open for MTA plz could someone reply quickly THX..

right now u av told me that i dont think thats my problem..

right ill write it out detailed

i start up the MTA Server and it runs fine it says its connected an that.. then i came to ask could someone join to test it... and someone told me the ip i given them was for my LAN not my public ip so i went an got my public ip from "google" :lol: and NOW i aint gotta clue wot i do so if someone would help on this i would b plz'd cheers :D:D

nooo :(:(:( that dont even work

this is the ip it give in the default .cnfig file 192.168.*.*

ALL I NEED IS SOMEONE WITH A BIT OF EXPERIENCE OR A LITTLE WALK THROUGH ON HOW TO SET A SERVER UP WITH A ROUTER

someone surly must now or have had the same problem as me plz plz help i cant host otherwise..... preferably one of the MTA:VC ppl could helpme or anyone for the matter :( :( :( :(

step 1. forward the ports on your router, (check your config file to see what port your game is listening on, 2003is default).

step2. run the server/

step3. go to http://www.whatismyip.com and tell your friend the ip that gives you. And have him connect to that ip.

step4. connect to your server via your LAN ip.

step5. play
