Dawgy Posted February 21, 2004 Posted February 21, 2004 Could you guys on the MTA team possible compile the Linux server for use on an older libstdc++? If so, could you possibly make it work on Redhat Linux 7.3? I would really appreciate this.
ddff Posted February 22, 2004 Posted February 22, 2004 Maybe the devs just didn't notice your post. You should choose a more expressive title for your post also. Or simply PM a developer about this. Because compiling with an older library wouldn't be a big problem.
Dawgy Posted February 22, 2004 Author Posted February 22, 2004 I've PMed MrBump, but he hasn't replied yet.
MAD_BOY Posted February 22, 2004 Posted February 22, 2004 well, they first have to talk about it with the whole team about it, and then they will reply you (or maybe i'm totally wrong)
Dawgy Posted February 22, 2004 Author Posted February 22, 2004 Well, I hope that they compile it for an older version. I really want my server.
Dawgy Posted February 22, 2004 Author Posted February 22, 2004 well, they first have to talk about it with the whole team about it, and then they will reply you (or maybe i'm totally wrong) Well, I've already PMed two people and posted a topic. I doubt it's gonna happen.

b0b0 Posted February 23, 2004 Posted February 23, 2004 Why can't you just update your version rather than asking the team to use an older one?
Dawgy Posted February 23, 2004 Author Posted February 23, 2004 Why can't you just update your version rather than asking the team to use an older one? Because I don't have physical access to the server, and the people that watch over it charge $40 to upgrade.
Dawgy Posted February 23, 2004 Author Posted February 23, 2004 so your point is that you dont wanna pay? I don't own the server. I'm an admin over it though.
