Cant get it to work

Can someone post the steps on how to joina game, mine always saying joining never says connected tho.........

As most of u know [because I have told u ] the servers listed are normally hosted incorrectly, or are full. I have tried a numerous ammout of times to connect to 1 of the listed servers, and have never been sucessful.

Here are some hints for connecting to a game

1.) Call up a friend, and make sure that ports 2003 and 2004 are open (dont worry about this unless he has a firewall)

or

2.) get on the irc channel and set up a game through there (this is kinda hard with out the phone or roger wilco (http://rogerwilco.gamespy.com/)).

Here are some tips on hosting a game

1.) see 1 of the 2 steps above

2.) either turn off ur firewall

or

2.) plug your comp right into the modem

or

2.) port foreward (If you dont know how to, look it up in ur manual)

or go to the website of the manufacturer of ur firewall. It should be there
