Kostis Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Hello, I would like to make a question. Port forwarding is dangerous?I mean if i open my ports my pc will be in danger from viruses etc? Thanks for your time.
0 StifflersMom Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 A little bit more specific: Some routers has an option to forward all ports to a specific lan ip. Never do this You may only forward the mta ports as described by the wiki. That's not dangerous, if you know your scripts and ACL. CU

0 Callum Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Do you mean Callum Jones? I'm not a "Script Kiddie" (well, some may say - but in another aspect).
0 Jaysds1 Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 , Callum Jones, He's such a kid. Anyways, opening some port might be dangerous as other programs can sneak their way in and take some data from your computer but it's highly impossible if your only hosting your server.
