WhiteMoon
Purchased too ! But there can be a problem with GTA SA on Steam: Some clients with Steam GTA SA will crash everytime a car explodes ! In other words, the game starts but is unplayable. Some will solve the issue, others like me will not be able to. A standard installation (not steam) will work well. It is a steam problem. I had an answer from Steam support who told me to contact the manufacturer. I answered that because it happens only with steam installation it would lead nowhere. I'm asking them how to get the CD Key I purchased but they didn't answered about that, I'll have to spam their support a bit harder Another problem is the Steam version can't be downgraded from v2 to v1.1 (in order to install SA-MP, the MTA competitor). Also I didn't found any FAQ on your website or forum to answer those 2 questions : Does MTA requires to downgrade GTA SA ? Does MTA works well with Steam version (when this one works lol) ? Thanks for your attention. Link to comment

WhiteMoon
Some clients with Steam GTA SA will crash everytime a car explodes ! The problem comes from Aero on Windows 7. If you select a standard theme in the desktop properties, it will work well. When you launch GTA SA from standard installation, it will desactivate temporarily Aero so there is no problem. If you launch it from steam, it keeps Aero, you have to desactivate it manually to avoid crash. Link to comment

Otto
Developers, you should add Multi Theft Auto to steam, as a free game. Link to comment
karlis
Developers, you should add Multi Theft Auto to steam, as a free game. its not that easy, if believing some sources, steam wants to be middle point between community and developers, and having particular other requirements that community would not benefit from. Also i'm not sure about steams approval regarding that MTA is reverse engineered modification of gtasa, done without approval of R* . Link to comment
