I had a server with you guys a while back, and although your services are more appealing than for example serverffs, when I actually got to know how your systems work and see how laggy the MTA servers on your servers are, I was not impressed at all.

I can also recall that your websites were incredibly slow, it took me over a minute to load your server control panel and I have a good connection.

But you guys have obviously made changes, at least visually, but why are there so many missing pages? I also checked out your control panel, from what I can see, it seems to work as it should (Page generated in 0.0009 seconds).

But, how can you be trusted after you shut down your services? And, you didn't refund your customers?

We stopped our public services, we will remain hosting for some clients.

Currently our website has been taken down and some of our servers have also been taken down. We got serious issues with copyright. Some clients hosted illegal files and therefore our servers have been taken down. We are very sorry for this. Currently one server is still running, Europe 2, and we will keep running this server till the expiration date ends. We are very sorry and hate that we have to announce this, but GameServers4You is stopping business.

It is still your responsibility to ensure that this doesn't happen, and you really can't expect people to not upload copyrighted material on MTA, especially when it comes to race servers and music infridgement.

We are very sorry but we are broke. We can't provide any refunds.

You sell servers at a very low price, and your income is probably lower than what you use on paying your servers atm., so that means you have to take money out of your own pocket, how can you ensure that this doesn't happen again?

We are very sorry, but we could not warn you guys. Our information has been compromised just in one second and then we received an e-mail about it. We did have problems before and that was fixed every time, but then suddenly they decided that we are hosting too much illegal data and we are responsible for it. We couldn't suspend the client for hosting illegal data, since the provider thought we were responsible. Also one of the servers that wasn't hosting any illegal data, our webserver, had been shutdown. We tried to get the e-mail addresses from the harddisk, but they already deleted all of our data.

We are very sorry that it went this way, but we can't do anything about it.

- The control panel is now on a dedicated server running on a 1Gbit connection, from a different provider.

- Sure this is our responsibility, but we have to check once in some time. We haven't done that before and we will do it now, as stated in our new main topic, which you obviously forgot to quote. As can be seen in our ToS it isn't allowed to host illegal files and as stated before, we are going to focus us on this.

- We have enough money in our company to at least hold on for 2 more months after the expiration date of the current servers.

- It is just the way it is, I can't add anything. You won't believe my honesty, I can't do anything about it.

- As I stated earlier. The information has been compromised due to that the system contained illegal files. Now regular backups are made to other servers. I must admit, we made some errors, and we aren't going to make the same ones again.

- We come back with the same system we had before, I don't see the point of this part of your reply. We only changed our templates, which is easy with our system and can be done in about 1 or 2 days.

It's been a long time since we updated the MTA community with our new information. So we thought, why not update our post and create some activity!

We are going to do some changes at Gameservers4You.This will not affect our customers at all. We are currently moving our domains to a more solid provider and we are also changing web host. This will be done this weekend and it should not bring any downtime, since we are already running both sides and the DNS is setup at the new host. We are only waiting for the transfer to get activated.

Also, we will be offering a new product! We are going to sell game VPSes, combined with a new control panel created by us, TrueCP. So mainly you will get our control panel on a VPS. This has a lot of benefits. With this plan you can really control your server, you can setup as many gameservers as you want on the server and even unlimited slots, if you want. Of course we must note you that running a lot of servers uses resources and your resources are limited. See the plans below to view the resources available for each server.

No. This would mean we need to buy a server, maintain the server, fix bugs. Having special deals with 3rd party providers means that we can offer VPSes for the same low price as we would offer with having a dedicated server, without the hassle of maintaining virtualization platforms. This works for both your and our side, since you have a low-priced VPS with management options and we don't have the hassle and costs of hosting a dedicated server.
