Castillo Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 That could be because you have a script error on the file you are trying to compile, or it could also be that your script encoding is set to "UTF-8".
ixjf Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 No, he was just trying to steal a script and thought this would decompile it.

xXMADEXx Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 some one please tell me how to decompile .DAT files and how to compile them De-compiling a script is illegal & noobish.
FatalTerror Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 De-compiling a script is illegal (...) Hm? Decompile a program is illegal in some countries due to copyright.
ixjf Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 A script is not necessarely a program, just like you can decompile your own code for whatever reasons, e.g. find out the difference between using multiple ifs and a single switch statement (C/C++) (in this case, disassemble it).
FatalTerror Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 A script is not necessarely a program, just like you can decompile your own code for whatever reasons, e.g. find out the difference between using multiple ifs and a single switch statement (C/C++) (in this case, disassemble it). Of course, if it's our own code you can obviously decompile it if you can but not a script under copyright that you don't have rights on it.
ixjf Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 He didn't say what he wanted to decompile, though.

TwoBanger Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 Does this still work? Or is there a better option now? I'd rather do a mass compile than uploading 1 by 1 on the luac.multitheftauto.com ....
Bean666 Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 luac.multitheftauto.com is pretty highly recommended now. you should deal with it tho.
Discord Moderators AlexTMjugador Posted June 28, 2016 Discord Moderators Posted June 28, 2016 luac.multitheftauto.com already has an API which can be used in Lua scripts to encrypt script files automatically. And there are some resources out there which take care of compiling another resources, so mass compiling should be as easy as pie.
