Bumnut
I suggest you try and make it so that pirated copies will not work, then try and get rockstar to support it. Surely with their help, you could make a kickass mod, and ideally one day they could distribute the elusive version 1.0 witht he game, or at least put it on their web page. Surely there's money in it for them, and a great game in it for us (ie, everyone else). MTA's the reason I bought the PC version of Vice City. Imagine how much Quake or Unreal would have made if they hadn't had multiplayer. Yet look how much money GTA has made, imgaine how much more it could be... Has Rockstar acknowledged the existence of MTA in any way? My other suggestion is a LAN-only version that makes use of high-bandwidth features (cops, peds, traffic) that are simply impractical on internet play. Link to comment
Evil
suggest you try and make it so that pirated copies will not work i bought the game from the store but i run a no cd crack so this would be a realy bad thing for me and the other 1000 users who use this method to get rid of the extra lagg that comes from using a slow cdrom Link to comment
Bumnut
Yeah, well the anti-piracy bit was just an idea to get Rockstar onboard. Perhaps they could be swayed without it? Link to comment
xerox
I doubt R* are going to come on board unfortunantly. It would be nice to hear if R* have actually played our mod =) Link to comment
Mr.Bill
heh yeah "I know lets help R* when they do nothing for us!" no I shouldn't say that, they've done plenty.... like... uh.. not sue us yet.... Link to comment
Bumnut
Well, you are helping them, I know that MTA was a major influence for me to buy Vice city, = money for them. I'll admit I don't understand the technical nuances of what you guys are doing, but surely R* have something to offer you guys to make your job easier, ie, source code. Divided we fall... What could they sue you for? Link to comment
Black Dragon
they just keeping its silent till someone ask them(money for them), and then they sue them for copyrights(MORE money for them). Link to comment

Gussi
I suggest you try and make it so that pirated copies will not work, then try and get rockstar to support it. I bought the PS2 copy, but my PC version is not.. how can I say this... I see no point to buy the game twice.. for me it's like buying a cd then download the whole cd in your PC so you can listen to it there.. Link to comment
