Infernal969
Hi there. I want to create my own map in MTA Map Editor (1.0.2) and i have two questions. Is there some limit of new objects? I want to create quite big map so I don't want situation that i'll have done 70% of the map and "sorry, you can't put more objects". I was searching forum and I haven't seen anything about this. And question two, if I'll start creating new map next to the old one (tried to delete old with map cleaner and other stuff but that failed) there won't stop me any invisible wall in the ocean? P.S. Sorry for my english. Link to comment
DakiLLa
actually, limit for elements is 65535 as far as i know... Link to comment
Dark Dragon
this is the total element limit. technically you can place as many objects as you want, but clients will only be able to stream in 250 objects at once, means if you place more than 250 objects in a small area (stream range) there could be objects disappearing. Infernal969
Thanks for responses. I think that 65535 will be enough to create something. About that limit with 250 objects, can you say more or less how big must be area that objects won't disappear? Link to comment
Dark Dragon
hard to tell, you should try it out yourself to have an idea of it, all i can tell is, you'll have less problems than in mta race, if you don't go crazy it should work. to get a proper idea of it you should also check how different objects disappear when you are too far away from them, thats the streaming range Link to comment

excon1123
One tip If you are trying to make a new city or town or something dont put a bunch of objects. If you do in one area then you will start freezing then going again and freezing and going. Even if the server is off your own computer. Does anyone know a way to bring the number of object streamed way up? Link to comment

Does anyone know a way to bring the number of object streamed way up? sorry for bump but i think i know the answer, if you just want to make maps with a big city or something(like im actually doing) split the map in parts and save them apart, they will load together when you start the server so that is not a problem. And hopefully( i did not try this) they will stream 250 objects on every single map.(dont know if this counts for 1 map or the whole server) Link to comment
eAi
They won't. The streamer isn't aware of which map file an element belongs to, or even which resource. Link to comment
