MOH
Hello there. I see that you are starting to make add-ons every week-month. Like 1.0 to 1.0.1. These editions are very annoying, it would be much better if you could just have one main thing at a time. Like 1.0 to 2.0 later, nothing in between. Thanks. Link to comment
darkdreamingdan
That's all well and nice to wish for, but if you look at the development process, the amount of time and effort that is required for a major point release is much harder. Your comment is basically ungrounded because its like saying "I wish MTA had a new feature every day". We either leave all these fixes for a major release at the risk of stability, performance and security, or we issue fixes as soon as possible while still mantaining compatibility. Link to comment
Dark Dragon
so basically you want all the bugs not to be solved for the next two years? seriously, you got backwards, forwards and WHATTHEHELLLOLWARDS compatibility, just stick with 1.0 if you prefer not to have bugs fixed. i hope you know if this was the case you would not have any advantage from it, since the release of sa-mp the mta fellowship always wanted it to be released, most with the points, that all the stuff which still was not done could be implemented later on, with little - you call them - add on released. i myself was very pissed a few times because you were able to see how good things were already working compared to sa-mp but they kept it away from us. then after dp2.3 release everyone was waiting for dp3 cause there were some major bugs in dp2.3. NOW, FINALLY, THEY FIRST DECIDED TO MAKE MTA OPEN SOURCE, THEN TO HAVE MORE FREQUENT RELEASES AND YOU SAY "omg it sux"? I simply hate you Link to comment
robhol
If you're really too lazy for a one-minute upgrade once every couple of weeks, (which'd probably be some kind of record, check with Guiness) you can always choose not to do it... Anyways, frequent updates is a lot, LOT! better than having people wait for years, this is definitely a huge improvement. Edit: if anyone happens to be interested, installation took me 24s 53" from the moment I clicked the download button. Edited October 31, 2009 by Guest Link to comment
Gamesnert
Besides, 1.0 is compatible with 1.0.x and the other way around. If you don't like to update, just stick to 1.0. (although several servers kinda refuse connection for version < 1.0.1) Link to comment
MOH
Can you atleast make something that will automatically update our servers? Cause it is really annoying. Or canit just be 1.1, 1.2 1.3 and so on. Link to comment

Or canit just be 1.1, 1.2 1.3 and so on. Again: if updating your server once every few weeks is "really annoying", that's your problem, and nobody is forcing you to do it. It really isn't that big a deal, it's a matter of minutes. Link to comment
MOH
Some servers update it when possible, so, I have to pdate too to play. Link to comment
robhol
Which, as previously mentioned, takes half a minute. Stop whining, already. Link to comment
Gamesnert
Some servers update it when possible, so, I have to pdate too to play. You don't HAVE to update. 1.0 users can join a 1.0.2 server. (unless version kickers are enabled) Heck, I have a 1.0.3 untested-2 client (which is a nightly) and I'm joining servers from 1.0.2 and 1.0.1. Link to comment
